KENEFIC — An Ada woman was injured in a one vehicle accident Thursday and authorities are saying cell phone use may be to blame.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Mike Green said Deena Cantrell, 35, was driving a 2002 Chevrolet SUV south on State Highway 48 two miles south of Kenefic when the wreck occurred at 7:18 p.m.
Cantrell ran off the road to the right and overcorrected, causing the vehicle to roll seven times. Cantrell was flown by Eagle Med to Mercy Memorial Hospital in Oklahoma City.
She was admitted with leg, arm, head and internal injuries. Green did not list a condition but said she is stable. Cantrell was wearing a seat belt and Green listed the cause as distraction from cell phone use.
