ADA — Wayne Case, President of Vision Bank Ada, announces the promotions of Debbie Thompson to senior vice president and enterprise risk manager; Sonja Hightower to vice president and manager of internal audit and compliance; Kathy Taylor to assistant vice president and loan operations; Sheri Cagle to loan officer; Jill Hudson to training officer; Steve Tilley to accounting officer and Meredith Brooking to accounting officer.
Thompson graduated from Wynnewood High School and has a degree in accounting from East Central University. She has been a part of the Vision Bank team for eight years. She is a certified public accountant and a member of Oklahoma Society of CPAs and the Oklahoma Bankers Association. She is president of the Ada Chapter of Oklahoma Society of CPAs. She and her husband, Mark, have three children, Bobby, 16, Ryan 12, and Rachel 10. They are members of the First Presbyterian Church of Ada.
Hightower has more than 19 years experience in banking and business consulting. She earned a finance degree in Germany, where she last worked as an Investment Banker in Mergers & Acquisitions. After moving to Ada, Hightower pursued an accounting degree at East Central University where she completed her bachelors in only two years and graduated with honors and highest academic achievement. In 2007, Hightower was recognized as the Distinguished Graduate of East Central's School of Business. She is a certified public accountant and a member of the Oklahoma Society of CPAs as well as the Institute of Internal Auditors. Hightower and her husband Sharrod are the parents of Zadora 20, and Zoraya 18.
Taylor has been at the bank 10 years, primarily working in the loan department. She is a graduate of Pulaski High School in Pulaski, Wis., and attended Cochice College in Sierra Vista, Ariz. Taylor is a member of the Rotary Club. She and her husband Richard have two daughters Andrea and Cassandra.
Cagle graduated from Vanoss High School and attended East Central University. She has been employed with Vision Bank for five and one-half years. Cagle is vice president of Women Nationally Active for Christ at Community Free Will Baptist Church in Pickett. She and her husband Kenny have two children, Braxton, 8 years, and Zoey, 3 months.
Hudson began working at Vision Bank five years ago. She has experience in numerous departments and currently serves as the training officer. She is a graduate of Sulphur High School and East Central University with a degree in math education. Hudson is involved with the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. She is married to Lucas Hudson.
Tilley has worked at Vision Bank for four years in the accounting department. After graduating from Byng High School, he earned his accounting degree at East Central University and was a member of the Alpha Chi Honor Society. Tilley is currently working on a master’s in business administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. He attends Trinity Baptist Church.
Brooking is a graduate of Ada High School and East Central University. She earned a degree in accounting and was a member of the honor clubs Alpha Chi and Delta Mu Delta. Brooking has been at Vision Bank for five years working in the Trust and Accounting Departments. Brooking is an associate member of the Oklahoma Society of CPAs, Big Brothers Big Sisters and the First Baptist of Ada. She is engaged to be married to John Murphy in October of this year.
