An Ada man who was convicted in Pontotoc County Court of dealing crack-cocaine was sentenced to 40 years in the department of corrections earlier this week.
Orlando Craig “Roscoe” Lewis, 26, was found guilty of unlawful delivery of a controlled drug after two previous convictions.
Information obtained from a court affidavit said Lewis was arrested by Chickasaw Nation Lighthorse police during a drug sting.
Police said Lewis sold undercover operatives three grams of a substance which field tested positive to be cocaine.
With the sentence structured the way it is, Lewis will have to serve at least 12 years.
However, three felony cases are pending against him, Assistant District Attorney Jim Tillison said.
“I would like to express my thanks to the jury for sending a strong message to drug dealers in the community,” Tillison said.
“I also want to thank the Chickasaw Nation Lighthorse Police, Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and the District Attorney’s Drug Task Force for gathering evidence used in this case.”
