Pete Benes, with Paradigm Realty in Ada, has been chosen to participate in the 2008 Leadership OAR class, a project of the Oklahoma Association of REALTORS® (OAR). The 14 people chosen from around the state are considered future leaders of the real estate industry in Oklahoma. The group meets throughout the year to learn leadership and business skills to apply personally, professionally and in their communities.
“Real estate remains the single greatest investment a person can make,” said Benes, “Home values increased by more than six percent last year in Ada.” He specializes in residential and land real estate and has been in the industry for almost 10 years. In addition to becoming a broker, Benes took the time to earn a CSP (Certified New Home Sales Professional) designation. He is part of Ada’s Most Wanted Real Estate Team with Margaret Kaiser and Kelley Benson.
Benes has been an active member of the Board of Directors for the Ada Board of REALTORS®, for the last two years. “I feel very honored and excited to have been chosen for LeadershipOAR,” Benes stated.
The journey began last summer as nominations poured in from around the state to join the 2008 LeadershipOAR class. A selection committee sifted through numerous applications to choose the 14 REALTORS® who would have the opportunity to be a part of this year’s class. The group meets at five retreats throughout the year, each in a different part of the state so that each member gains a better understanding of the variety of communities that make up Oklahoma.
The Oklahoma Association of REALTORS®, “The Voice for Real Estate in Oklahoma,” was established in 1921 and is one of Oklahoma’s largest trade associations, representing almost 11,000 members involved in all aspects of the real estate industry.
