LAKE MURRAY—A Burneyville man was hospitalized after being hit by a Sea Doo personal watercraft near the ski-jump area on Lake Murray Thursday evening.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Mart Grisham said Ryan K. Huffaker, 22, was run over by the Sea Doo after he was ejected from a different Sea Doo. Huffaker was a passenger and was ejected while the drivers were splashing each other with the watercrafts.
He was taken by personal vehicle to Mercy Memorial Hospital in Ardmore and admitted with a head injury. Three other people involved in the accident were not injured.
Grisham said personal floatation devices were worn by all and listed the cause of the accident as reckless operation.
