American Association of Retired Persons Driver Safety Course will be offered at Valley View Regional Hospital from 1-5 p.m. July 29-30 in the hospital classroom. Bob Langston, assistant state coordinator, will be the class instructor.
The course is available to all licensed drivers in Oklahoma and is designed as a refresher course to teach all age levels about driving hazards and techniques to cope with age-related changes. No tests are given but full participation for the 8-hour course is required.
Pre-registration is required and the fee is $10 per participant. Phone Laura Long at 421-1458 to register. All materials are furnished and a course completion certificate will be given at the end of the class. All insurance companies doing business in Oklahoma are required to lower the policy owner’s premium by a reasonable amount for a period of three years with the certification provided, said Langston.
