ADA — Two men allegedly attempted to rob an Ada man by gunpoint Wednesday night before being scared away by a passing car.
According to a report provided by the Ada Police Department, Joshua Stick, 19, Ada, was walking home Wednesday night when he was approached by two men whopointed a gun to his chest.
The suspects asked him for money, and when Stick said he didn’t have any, one of the males asked if he “was ready to go to sleep” and pushed the gun harder into his chest.
According to the report, a vehicle approached and scared the subjects away.
The next day, a 1993 Cadillac drove past the Stick residence, in the 700 block of W. 8th, while Stick’s mother, Tammy, was sitting on her porch. She saw and recognized the driver, and asked why he pulled a gun on her son.
The driver, identified as Josh Nixon, 19, Oklahoma City, said he was from Louisiana and didn’t care and that she “needed to watch herself.”
Further investigation revealed Nixon denied pointing the gun and said Tammy threatened him when was drove by her home.
Possible charges include robbery by force or fear, but no charges have been filed at this point.
