U.S. Rep set to visit area

Oklahoma US Representative Tom Cole will be in the Pontotoc County area on Thursday, August 14 to participate in several regional events.
At 10 a.m. Cole will be at Stonewall City Hall to present a grant check for a medical clinic in Stonewall. State Senator Susan Paddack and State Representative Paul Roan will also be at the presentation.
At 12 p.m. Cole will be the featured speaker for the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce’s legislative lunch, at Polo’s Restaurant in Ada. The event will be held in the Fiesta Room, and is slated to last until 1:30 p.m. The event is open to everyone, and the fajita bar is available for those with an appetite for $10 per person.
Finally, at 5:30 p.m. Cole will speak at a forum focused on discussing “The Costs of Global Warming Alarmist Policies,” in East Central University’s Estep Center. The event is hosted by free-marketing group Americans for Prosperity (AFP). Cole will be joined at the forum by AFP Oklahoma director Stuart Jolly.
