ADA — Ada Regional United Way will host its sixth annual Family Fun Event. This free community event takes place Thursday, August 28, from 5:30-7 p.m. at Wintersmith Park.
“This will be a time for families to have fun together. There are not many opportunities in the busy world we live in to spend time with our families doing fun things. I hope everyone will stop by for a little while and enjoy the evening,” executive director, Latricia Bryant said. There will be free food and drinks as well as carnival booths. Kiwanis Park rides will be open at regular cost.
Donations for this event have been made possible by Ada Regional United Way agencies, other area agencies and volunteers from the community. Free hot dogs and drinks will be offered, thanks to Citizens Bank and First United Bank, Pepsi, and Coca Cola.
The event will be the community celebration kick-off for this year’s United Way Campaign. Ada Regional United Way board of directors has set the 2009 Campaign Goal of $300,000. Volunteers are needed to assist with campaign activities. Anyone interested should phone Latricia Bryant, executive director of Ada regional United Way, at (580) 332-2313 x223 or email Latricia.Bryant@adaunitedway.org.
