1 dies, 3 hurt in car wrecks

POTTAWATOMIE COUNTY — One man died Saturday and three people were injured in a wreck Monday.

The first wreck occurred on Brangus Road just south of Little River at 8:20 p.m. Saturday.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper German (no first name given) said Johnnie Lincoln, 58, Tecumseh, was driving south when he left the road.

“(The vehicle) departed the roadway at a low rate of speed for 113 feet,” German said. “The vehicle rolled one-quarter time into the ditch. (The vehicle) then came to rest on the passenger side.”

Lincoln died at the scene but a cause was not listed. German said the investigation is ongoing and Lincoln was not wearing a seat belt.

Another wreck, also in Pottawatomie County, involved two Mill Creek residents. OHP Trooper Tyson Wright said the wreck happened at the intersection of MacArthur and U.S. 177.

Sadik Bajdid, 26, Oklahoma City, was driving a 1989 Honda Civic west on MacArthur. After stopping at a stop sign, Bajdid pulled out in front of a 2008 Toyota Camry driven north by Angela Rogers, 31, Oklahoma City.

Bajdid was taken by EMS to Unity North Hospital in Shawnee, then transferred to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He was admitted in serious condition with internal injuries.

Rogers was treated at the scene. Two passengers in Bajdid’s vehicle, Krystal Neasbitt, 19, and 7-month-old Adam Neasbitt, both of Mill Creek, were taken to Unity and treated and released.

Wright said seat belts were in use.
