AARP safety training class offered at PTC

AARP Driver Safety program class will be given at Pontotoc Technology Center, 601 W. 33rd. The classes will be Tuesday Oct. 7 and Wednesday, Oct. 8. Times are 1-5 p.m. each day.
No tests are given, but all sessions must be attended to receive certification and prepayment reservations are required. Participants are encouraged to express themselves in this class. Participants should check with their insurance agent as to premium discounts given by their company.
Mel Hutt, state certified instructor, will lead the class. Participants must take the current valid drivers license with them.
The class is open to all Oklahoma licensed drivers.
This is the nation’s first and largest classroom refresher course. Learn about driving hazards and techniques especially for older drivers, but useful for all drivers. Information is available online, but participates should check with their insurance first.
The benefits are good for three years.
Pre-registration is required as class size is limited. Send a check for $10 per registrant made payable to AARP to Pontotoc Technology Center, 601 W. 334d Street, Ada, OK 74820, attention Becky McKenzie.

All materials are furnished and upon completion the authorized certificates will be issued. This program is approved by the state of Oklahoma.
