Trail ride poker run planned to benefit horse rescue foundation

Greener Pastures Horse Rescue will have a Benefit Trail and Poker Ride Saturday, Oct. 11.
Check in is at 9 a.m. and the ride starts at 10 a.m. at the M.G. Braum Ranch in Stonewall.
Cost is $30 per adult rider and children 12 and under are $20.
Fee includes lunch, games on horseback, drawings for prizes and prizes for highest poker hands.
The Braum Ranch is located on County Road 1670.
From Highway 3 take the Stonewall exit and turn south three-and-a-half miles to CR 1670, turn east and go four miles. Gate to enter ranch will be on the north side of the road and follow the signs.
All horses must have Negative Coggins within the past 12 months. Sponsors say public intoxication, vulgar language and lewd behavior will not be tolerated.
Dogs are not allowed to accompany the trail ride and stallions must be well-mannered in order to participate.
Organizers of the event have rules in place to emphasize safety for participants of the trail ride and ask the rules be followed.
