A former Ada resident was sentenced after failing to file a tax return in 2002.
Alyn M. Brannon, 77, who now resides in Arizona, was sentenced to three years probation with six months of home confinement, according to Sheldon Sperling, U.S. attorney for the eastern district of Oklahoma.
“The court also ordered the defendant to pay restitution to the IRS in the amount of $30,000, and a special assessment Fee of $25,” Sperling said. “Brannon will be supervised by the Phoenix U.S. Probation Office in the district of Arizona where he lives.”
Brannon pleaded guilty Dec. 19, 2007.
In 2001, Brannon lived in Ada, received gross income in excess of the minimum filing requirement, and failed to file a tax return to the Internal Revenue Service, according to Sperling
