Ada woman involved in crash, injured

Lincoln County — An Ada woman was involved in a two vehicle accident in Lincoln County Wednesday.

The accident occurred on U.S. 177 one half mile south of County Road 810, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Tyson Wright.

Deanna Krantz, 35, Ada, was driving a 2001 Honda Accord south on U.S. 177.

Krantz swerved to miss a deer, went out of control for 348 feet and crashed into a 2007 Chevrolet Malibu driving north, according to the report.

The Malibu was driven by Jennifer Lynn Stevenson, 29, of Stillwater.

Krantz was taken by Chandler EMS to Unity North Hospital where she was treated and released. Stevenson was taken by Wellston EMS to Stillwater Hospital where she was treated and released.

A passenger in Stevenson’s vehicle, Almeta Harris, 75, Stroud, was taken by Air Evac to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City and admitted with internal injuries in good condition.

Wright said seat belts were worn by all and based on his investigative opinion, listed the cause of the accident as left of center in a marked zone.

Carney police, firefighters from Carney, Chandler and Wellston responded.
