NOTEWORTHY: Jordan Alberson singled leading off the bottom of the sixth and scored the winning run on a one-out throwing error (Elmore City’s sixth of the game) to give Stratford the victory. Dalen Qualls got the win in relief of starter Tommy Lawson and also doubled and drove in two runs for the Bulldogs, who return to action in the winner’s bracket at 12:30 p.m. today.

NOTEWORTHY: Edmond Santa Fe (No. 3 in Class 6A) pounded out 10 hits and held Latta to five singles in the run-rule victory over the Panthers (No. 4 in Class 2A).

NOTEWORTHY: McLoud pitcher Waylon Moore pitched six shutout innings after giving up three runs in the top of the first. Byng managed just five hits, including two by Glen Mitchell.

NOTEWORTHY: Byng again managed just three runs and five hits in its second straight tournament setback. Blanchard snapped a 2-2 tie with a three-run fifth frame.

NOTEWORTHY: Ethan McBride hit a two-run, walk-off home run in the bottom of the seventh to give the Cougars the upset win over Stonewall (No. 6 in Class A). Stonewall had tied the game with two runs in the top of the seventh. Josh Scribner led the Stonewall offense, going 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI. The Longhorns out-hit Caney 8-4.
Team Record: Stonewall 3-4.
