Dr. Tim Green golf tournament a success

ADA — The second annual Dr. Tim Green All-Sports Golf Tournament, held on April 28 at the Dornick Hills Country Club in Ardmore, was a rousing success.
The tournament, which benefits all 13 of ECU’s varsity sports, was comprised of 136 golfers made up of former athletes, alumni and ECU supporters.
The event featured morning and afternoon flights, a lunch catered by Fat Boy’s BBQ and a half-hour clinic by current Champions Tour player and ECU alum Dr. Gil Morgan.
“The event was outstanding and the feedback we’ve received has been great,” said ECU athletic director Brian DeAngelis. “I would like to thank Dornick Hills, Dr. Gil Morgan, Gerald Williamson, all of our sponsors, the golfers and my staff for all of their work in making this event a success.”
The tournament’s winning team consisted of Kyle Bradford, David Crook, Ric Procter and Cliff Thrift.
Second place went to Ken Rowe, Don Cail, Mike Dunn and Dwayne Graves. The third place team included: Dale Boatwright, John Lowry, Russell Lowry and Rick May.
Thom McGuire was the ‘Closet to the Pin’ winner.
