NOTEWORTHY: Shanna Davidson scored 19 points to lead a balanced attack and added five rebounds and five of Tupelo’s 19 steals as the Lady Tigers won their fourth game in a row. Megan Bray was also in double figures with 11 points for Tupelo, which got at least six points from seven different players. Chesna Henry had eight points and seven rebounds, Tamara Thompson scored eight points off the bench and added five boards, Tiffany Postoak had seven rebounds to go with her seven points, and Grace henry finished with six points and five steals in the win. The Lady Tigers have now allowed 25 points or less in five of their six games this season.

NOTEWORTHY: Matt Johnson remained one of the area’s hottest players, scoring 22 points to lead three Asher players in double figures as the Indians beat winless Tupelo. Derek Claytor had 15 points and freshman Zack Fowler added 10 for Asher, which held Tupelo to 32 percent shooting and forced 21 turnovers. Matt Benedict scored 12 points and Jake Sanders added 10 for the Tigers.

NOTEWORTHY: Kaleb Blaylock capped a huge night with a putback at the buzzer as Calvin beat Wanette in a thriller. Blaylock finished with 26 points, 19 rebounds and five steals, and his game-winning basket capped a Calvin comeback from a 37-32 deficit entering the fourth quarter. Homer Madden added 12 points and eight rebounds in the win. Kevin Fullingim and Nick Tsacher had 14 points apiece to pace Wanette.
