Silas, 10, a 5th grader at Pickett-Center schools, is the son of Marteen and Sam Silas. He shot the buck on opening day with a .223 rifle at 75 yards. It dressed out at 157 pounds.; Kevin Gray, the Week 12 leader of the 2008 Ada Evening News Football Prediction Race, bagged this 8-point, 156-pounder on a Friday hunt on private property near Allen. His father, Bob and brother, Rob also have bagged bucks during the 2008 hunting season.
