PrimeTimers enjoy good music, friends

Plans for the up-coming second annual Career and College Tour at the Southeast Expo Center, Oct. 30, was the theme for the luncheon and business meeting for 85 First Baptist Church PrimeTimers and guests in the church fellowship hall.

Nicole Cook, Eastern Oklahoma State College education coordinator, invited PrimeTimers to act as volunteer tour guides for the event.

Dub Brown, PrimeTimer’s president, was in charge of the meeting. Charlie Hale gave the opening prayer. Table decorations were provided by Carol Bryant and Carol Newberry.

Entertainment was a selection of Southern Gospel favorites by The Rejoicers (Carol Stephens, Bette Williams and Lynda Mason).

Following the entertainment, Erma Dunn, secretary, read the minutes of the September meeting. Zoe Hanley, treasurer, gave the financial report. Elaine Brown, travel chairman, discussed travel opportunities for the coming months.

Others attending the meeting include June Allen, Eudell and Marveda Barnes, Renee Barry, Hazel Beckham, Leon and Freda Barnard, Shirley Braswell, Leonard and Cristine Briggs, Joyce Carlson, George and Frances Carman, Alyne Cherry, Buddy and Debbie Cook.

And, Mary Davis, Mary Deerinwater, Leonard Dunn, Bill and Juanita Ellis, Pokie Everett, Anne Everly, Joyce Ferguson, Frank and Sara Fisher, Orval and Rosemary Free, Pansy Gray, Joyce Hale, Calista Hawkins, Bill Hensley, Guy Hooser, Dorothy Johnson, B.G. and Mel Jones.

Also, Betty Kostankewich, Alta Lake, A.C. and Mary Lewis, Spec and Betty Little, John and Barbara McPherson, Dusty Norman, James Old, Ruby Pink, Donna Prock, Lorraine Ratliff, Ken and JoAnn Roberts, Wanda Scott, Dorothy Shirley, Delta Smith, Laverne Smith, Velva Smith, Ruth Southern, Chuck Stephens, Margaret Strange, Joe and Deyna Tannehill, Howard Tolson, Bernice Turnbo, Emerson and Ruth Virden, Jack Vogel, Donald and Frances Wooten, Mary Ann Fabry, Margaret Stanfield, Sharon Franks, Dora Monroe, and Lakie Gillespie.

President Brown took special prayer requests and dismissed the meeting with prayer.
