McAlester’s Hearod in the running for ECH homecoming crown

Campus organizations have nominated 28 students as candidates for East Central University’s Homecoming king and queen. ECU students will vote for the finalists on Wednesday, Oct. 28 and the king and queen will be announced during a coronation ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 31 before the Homecoming football game begins at 6 p.m. All the candidates will ride in the Homecoming parade scheduled to begin at noon on Saturday, Oct. 31.
Jordan Hearod, McAlester, a junior majoring in pre-medicine at ECU, has been nominated as a Homecoming king candidate. Hearod represents the Student Association of Family and Consumer Sciences. He has been a student intern for U.S. Rep. Tom Cole and president and vice president of the Honors Student Association. He is a member of the Russian Club, Bio-Med/Tri Beta, Society of Physics Students and Bridging Cultures Club. He is the son of Dana and Kelly Sandman and Kevin and Kari Hearod.
