Buffaloes trample the Stilwell Indians, 59-0 at Homecoming

By Porky Falcon
Sports Writer

The McAlester Buffaloes give homecoming crowd something to be proud of, shutting downt the Stilwell Indians 59-0, Friday night at Hook Eales Stadium. The Buffs are now 2-4 on the season as they prepare for a tough week, getting ready to play the Tulsa Central Braves, Friday, in Tulsa.

The Buffs first possesion was not the start that head coach Brian Pratt wanted for McAlester. The defensive series shed a little light with the interception from Ty Lawrence, to start the Buffs on the 34-yard line.

That was what started the Buffs’ momentum in the first quarter.

Buffs’ quarterback Brady May was 4-8, passing for 187-yards, two touchdowns.

Freshman, Tony Kiefer threw 4-6, with 41 yards, getting some varsity experience in the second half.

Recieving high yardage for the Buffs was Tyler Crabtree with two catches for 97-yards, getting two touchdowns.

May rushed nine times for 87-yards, Kiefer had seven rushes for 43-yards.

McAlester running back Caleb Carney rushed seven times for 35-yards, for three touchdowns.

The Buffs will focus on Friday’s game against Tulsa Central.
