LORENE SCRUGGS

TULSA — Memorial services for Lorene “Tommie” Scruggs, 86, Tulsa, area 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Wynnewood.

Mrs. Scruggs died Feb. 5, 2008, at a Tulsa hospital. She was born Sept. 11, 1921, in Pauls Valley and spent most of her adult life in Wynnewood.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Wynnewood, a Sunday School teacher and managing director for Luzier Cosmetics for 49 years,

Survivors include her children, Susan Langston, Tulsa, Nancy Etier and husband Richard, Hobbs, N.M., Steven Scruggs and wife Susan, Wynnewood;sisters Aline Wood, Ada, and Bobbie Watts, Oklahoma City; a brother Jim Cook, Firebaugh, Calif.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Eugene and Eva Cook; a granddaughter Elizabeth Langston, a great-grandson, Tyler Cushman; and her husband, Erselee D. Scruggs.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund of First Baptist Church of Wynnewood Oklahoma 73098. Cremation has taken place interment will be at the Wynnewood Cemetery. Friends are welcome to visit at the family home.
