ADA — Services for Houston Nathan Brown, 59, Ada, are 1 p.m Saturday at the Reaper Baptist Church, Rev. Clarence Seals will officiate. Burial will follow at Elm Flat Cemetery, near Maxwell.
Mr. Brown died Saturday, February 9, 2008, at a local hospital. He was born July 7, 1948, in the Maxwell Community, northwest of Ada to Eddie and Hattie Franklin Brown.
He attended Napier school and Byng High School. Mr. Brown was a mechanic rebuilding and repairing small engines. He was a member of Reaper Baptist Church.
He married Ruby Beal on Jan. 7, 1992.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Brown, of the home; two sons, Houston Nathan Brown Jr., Ada, and Christopher Lee Brown, California; three daughters, Cassandra Brown Gore, Stonewall, Tarcer Brown, Madill, and Summer Brown, Madill; two sisters, Maggie Liza Luckey, Ada, and Ellen Henderson, Oklahoma City; a brother, Johnny Welborn Brown, Ada; 16 grandchildren; and two-great-grandchildren.
His nephews will serve as bearers.
