KENNETH LARABEE

STUART — Services for Kenneth Eugene Larabee, 37, Stuart, were 4 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2009, at Calvin High School auditorium. The Reverend William Blaylock officiated.

Mr. Larabee died in an automobile accident on Tuesday, March 31, 2009. He was born July 29, 1971, in Holdenville to Eugene Howard Larabee and Kathy Eileen Cook Larabee.

He attended Calvin High School and worked in the oil fields.

On Dec. 23, 2004, he married Jana in Tonkawa. The couple made their home in Stuart.

Mr. Larabee was preceded in death by his father, Eugene.

Survivors include his mother, Kathy, of Stuart; wife, Jana, of the home; children, Paige Leah-Ann Larabee, Gavin Jones and Leland Eugene Larabee; and one grandchild, Alexz Grey Gibson.

DAVIS — Services for Dr. Don Oxford, 75, Davis, are 1 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, Davis. Burial follows at Green Hill Cemetery, Davis.

Dr. Oxford died April 2, 2009.

CHARLES SHIELDS

MILBURN — Services for Charles "Smokey" Shields, 63, Milburn, are 2 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2009, at Smith-Phillips Funeral Home, Ada. Burial follows at Steedman Cemetery near Kullihoma. Officiating the funeral service will be the Rev. Tony Poe. Wake service will be 7 p.m. Sunday, April 5, 2009, at Smith-Phillips Funeral Home, Ada. Officiating the wake will be the Rev. Donnie Jacob. Chickasaw Honor guard will perform military rites.

Mr. Shields died Friday, April 3, 2009, at an Ada hospital. He was born Oct. 1, 1945, in Hughes County to Joseph Shields and Minnie Allen Shields.

Mr. Shields worked for the Chickasaw Nation as a groundskeeper for many years and was a lifelong resident of the Ada area. He attended Yellow Spring Methodist Church near Stonewall and had served in the United States Army.

Survivors include a daughter, Diane Shields Atkison and her husband James, Spencer; two brothers, Harlan Shields, Stonewall, Kent Shields and his wife Carol, Norman; eight sisters, Rose Jefferson and her husband Gene, Imogene Imotichey-Walker and her husband Gary, Louise Shields, Mary Gipson, Carol Fox and her husband Pete, and Marla Key and her husband Roy, all of Ada, Mae Hamilton and her husband Robert and Gayle Clark and her husband Scott, both of Mill Creek; a grandchild, Aaron Kyle Dixon, Moore; longtime companion, Bobbie Shields; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Minnie Shields; two brothers, Henry and Simon Shields; and a nephew, Steven Hamilton.

Bearers are Barney Barnoski, Shane Dixon, Skip Wisdom, Alan Gipson, Aaron Dixon and Dusty Newport.

Honorary bearers are Pete Fox, Terry Stick, Randall Clark, Kevin Jacob, Gene Jefferson and the Tribal Property Employees.

MARVIN NICKELL

ADA — Services for Marvin Elmo Nickell, 77, Ada, are 10 a.m. Monday at First United Pentecostal Church, the Rev. Daniel Johnson will officiate assisted by the Rev. Todd Bergman. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Stonewall. Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Nickell died Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born Sept. 26, 1931, at Centrahoma to Leon and Dorothy Reed Nickell.

He attended Byng school and graduated from Byng High School. Mr. Nickell served in the U.S. Navy for four years and the U.S. Air Force for 16 years. He and his family moved to Ada in 1970. Later, he was employed by Ada Candy Company and T.G.&Y. Store. He was a member of First United Pentecostal Church where he served on the board of trustees.

He married Lois Gifford on July 17,1959.

Survivors include his wife, Lois Nickell, of the home; two daughters, Carolyn Chambers and husband John, Wewoka, and Lisa Bergman and husband the Rev. Todd Bergman, Turpin; three sons, David Nickell and wife Lela, Van Buren, Ark., Mark Nickell and wife Sonja, Greenwood, Ark., and Steven Nickell, Centerton, Ark.; one sister, Joyce Newberry, Ada; a brother, Wiley Nickell, of the home; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Betty June Nickell.

Bearers will be Fred Johnson, Richard Geyer, Bill Richmond, Tom Sellers, Chris Barnett and Chad Henry. Honorary bearers will be James Starr, David Grigg, Bill Westmoreland, Robert Martinez and Kirby Wright.

SHELLY FLETCHER

DAVIS — Services for Michelle R. "Shelly" Fletcher, 45, Davis, will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2009, at Pentecostal Holiness Church of Davis, with Junior Thomas and Frank Duncan officiating. Interment will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery, Davis.

Ms. Fletcher was born Nov. 20, 1963, in Wynnewood to Michael D. and Mary Lee Fullerton Fletcher. She died Thursday, April 2, 2009, in Sulphur.

Ms. Fletcher was preceded in death by her father, Mike Fletcher in January 2009; one sister Marissa; two uncles, Jerry Don and Dewayne Fullerton; and a cousin Devon Fletcher.

She graduated from Davis High School in 1982 and later from East Central University where she earned a bachelor's degree in human resources. For the past 15 years, she worked as the director of Ada Youth Shelter.

Survivors include her mother, Mary Lee Fletcher; two sisters, Stephanie Fletcher and Jenny Spicer and husband James, all of Davis; uncles, Dickie Fletcher and wife Sharon of Temple, Texas, Vandon Fullerton and wife Wandora, of Norman and Gary Dale Fullerton and wife Kaye, of Davis; one aunt, Charlene Fullerton Tigert of Plano, Texas, and several cousins; as well as two self-adopted brothers, Daniel and Coby Beatley.

Bearers will be Jeremy and Dale Fullerton, Billy, David and Jerrod Coots, and Raymond Roden. Honorary bearers will be her co-workers from the Ada Youth Shelter.
