RUBY CULBERT

ADA — Services for Ruby Mae Culbert, 94, Ada, formerly of Oklahoma City are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 13313 N. Kelley Ave., Oklahoma City, James Lusby will officiate.

Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. Tuesday until service time Wednesday at Memorial Park Funeral Home in Oklahoma City.

Mrs. Culbert died Sunday, April 5, 2009. She was born August 12, 1914 at San Marcos, Texas to James Harvey and Cora Ann Rea Prewitt. She graduated from Burns Flat High School and moved to this area in 2005 from Oklahoma City.

She married Stephen Lewis Culbert in 1934 at Hollis, Oklahoma. He died in 1995 at Oklahoma City. Mrs. Culbert was a homemaker and a member of Seminole Pointe Church of Christ in Oklahoma City.

Survivors include one daughter, Jill Frye and husband Jack, Ada; one granddaughter, Stephanie Glenn and husband Scott, Durant; two grandsons, Jeremy Frye and wife Melissa, Wylie, TX, and Jamie Frye and wife Kelli, Oklahoma City; six great grandchildren, Emily Frye, Ally Frye, Jack Frye, Justin Frye, Kevin Glenn, and Kelsey Glenn; and several other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her stepfather who reared her, G. W. Hale, one brother, Raymond Prewitt, and one sister, Ruth Reeder.
