SAMMIE NICKELL
ADA — Graveside services for Sammie June Nickell, 64, Ada, are 11 a.m. Friday, April 17, 2009, at Oakman Cemetery, Ada.
Ms. Nickell died Sunday, April 12, 2009, at Lexington. She was born Oct. 7, 1944, at Ada, to June Boardman Sawyer and Martha Frances Morrison.
She grew up in Byng, graduated from Byng High School and lived in the Byng and Ada areas most of her life. She was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith.
She married B.J. Nickell in 1963.
Survivors include a daughter, Anita June Dixon, Ada; three sons, Lowell Nickell, Del City, Jay Nickell, Denver, Colo., and Dickie Nickell, Doverm, Okla.; two sisters, Juanita Fidley, Ada, and Ann Struble and husband Jim, Midwest City; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

MILDRED HENDERSON
NOBLE — Graveside services for Mildred Mae Henderseon, 84, are 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at East Hill Cemetery, Roff. The Rev. Dennis Heath will officiate.
Mrs. Henderson died April 13, 2009, at Norman. She was born Aug. 30, 194, at Ahloso to Lee T. and Jessie M. Nichols Higdon.
She lived in the Cleveland County area since moving from Oklahoma City in 1967. She was of the Pentecostal faith and a self-employed contract painter. She attended school in Roff.
She married Charles Wilbert Henderson Sept. 4, 1942, at Ada.
Mrs. Henderson was preceded in death by her parents; husband,; a son, Jessie Hendereson; and a brother, John Higdon.
Survivors include two sons, Roger Hendersona nd Ricky Henderson, both of Eufaula; four daughters, Jean Stephens, Norman, Barbara Shipp, New Castle, Debbie Hailey, Noble, Alta Henderson, Noble; a brother, Tommy Higdon, Roff; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren;a nd numerous other relatives and friends.
Bearers are B.J. Hartless, Randy Hailey, Shane Henderson, tommy Shipp, Billy Shipp and Casey Jones.

HOUSTON, Texas-Memorial services for Winford E. Laughlin, 92, Houston, Texas, formerly of Ada are 11 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2009 at the First Lutheran Church, Rev. Gary Brandt will officiate.
Mr. Laughlin died Saturday, March 21, 2009 in Houston, Texas. He was born February 17, 1928 at Ada to Argus B. and Mary Harrison Laughlin. He graduated from East Central University in Ada.
He married Doris June Kroth on July 3, 1948. She preceded him in death May 15, 2007. Mr. Laughlin went to work for Continental Oil Company in Ponca City, then transferred to Houston, Texas. He retired from Conoco as Manager of Product, Supply and Distribution in 1982.
In 1990, he and his wife purchased a home near Ada. Mr. Laughlin was a designer, builder and inventor.
He is survived by his children, Mike Laughlin, San Antonio, Texas; Mary Fuller and husband Todd, Houston, Texas, and Cindy Ramming and husband Arnold, Bakersfield, Calif.; and grandchildren, Lauren Fuller and Ryan Ramming.
He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, Argus B. and Mary Harrison Laughlin, and his sister, Altha Reynolds.
