BUCK OWENS
ADA — Services for Johnny “Buck” Owens, 75, Ada, are 2 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church, the Rev. Frank Trent will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Owens died Monday, April 14, 2008, at a local hospital. He was born Oct. 14, 1932, near Jesse, Okla., to John and Bina Underwood Owens.
He attended Jesse schools. Mr. Owens was employed with Brown and Root for many years until his retirement. He was a member of Chickasaw Nation Honor Guard, Chickasaw Nation Senior Citizens, and Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church and had served in the U. S. Army for two years during the Korean Conflict.
He married Nadine Fike on Oct. 6, 1951, in Ada.
Survivors include his wife, Nadine Owens, of the home; a daughter, Shawnda Russell, Ada; granddaughters, Ashley Russell and Tonia Renick, both of Ada; two grandsons, John Johnson and wife Jamie, Gilmer, Texas, and Alvie Johnson, Shreveport, La.; six great -grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; two brothers, Frank Owens, Ada, and Benny Owens, Tupelo; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Johnny Lynn Owens in 1971, a daughter, Vickie “Michelle” Owens Johnson in 2002, three brothers, Sam Owens, Cub Owens, and Virgil Owens; and two sisters, Lora Mae “Polly” Morgan, and Ella “Dink” Hisaw and other family members.
Bearers will be members of the Chickasaw Honor Guard, Bernie Seeley, Will Johnson, Jim Perry, Solomon Gantt, Roy Worcester, Michael Worcester, Ray Orphan, Ted Underwood, Jimmy James, Tommy Lyda, Mike Reed, Larry Cohee, Ben Willis, David Engle, Emery Roberts, Bennie John, and Tony Palmer.

BILLY ELLIS
ADA — Services for Billy Osborne Ellis, 74, Ada, are 2 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Ray Talbott will officiate. The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home. A meal will be provided at noon Friday at the Union Hill Baptist Church.
Mr. Ellis died Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at a local hospital. He was born Oct. 16, 1933, at Tupelo to William Benjamin and Ina Willie Edwards Ellis.
He attended Tupelo schools and graduated from Tupelo High School in 1951. He was an American Legion Baseball player. Mr. Ellis lived in Modesto, Calif., and was the owner and operator of Bill's Automotive Shop for many years. He moved back to Ada in September 1995.
He married Kathy Stevens in October 1988.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Ellis, of the home; a stepdaughter, Anna Bauer, Pleasant Hill, California; a stepson, Michael Bauer, Pleasant Hill, Calif.; a daughter, Pam King; two sons, Larry Ellis and Barry Ellis; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mariuse Green and husband John, Stillwater.
The family says those who wish may make memorials to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for Cancer Research, 825 NE 13th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73104-9930.

FRANCIS — Services for Judith “Judy” Ann Breeding, 50, Francis, formerly of Seminole, are 11 a.m. Friday at Bowleges Assembly of God Church,. Burial will be 2 p.m. Friday at Calvary Cemetery in Shawnee.
Mrs. Breeding died Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at an Ada hospital.

CENTRAHOMA — Services for Jackie Dale Couey Jr., a longtime Coal County resident, are 2 p.m Thursday at Brown’s Funeral Chapel, Coalgate, the Rev. David Boggs officiating. Burial follows at Byrd’s Prairie Cemetery.
Mr. Couey died Monday, April 14, 2008, in Hughes County. He was born May9, 1967, in Oklahoma City to Jackie Dale Couey Sr. and Fannie Mae Vires Couey.
He attended school at Holdenville, Tupelo and vo-tech at Atoka. He worked for the railroad for 16 years and was a truck driver for Awesome Trucking Company in Allen. He was a member of Tupelo Baptist Church.
He married Brandy Stokes March 21, 1992, at Francis.
Survivors include his wife, Brandy Couey, Centrahoma; two sons, Bryant Yoder, Hutchison, Kan., and Matt Couey, Centrahoma; a daughter, Amber Couey, Centrahoma; three sisters, Darla Thorton, Oklahoma City, Norma Fortner andhusband Kenny, Tupelo, and Donna Couey, Tupelo; a brother, Steve Couey, Lawton; his father, Jack Couey and wife Roylene, Coalgate; grandfather, Leon Couey, Duncan; stepdaughter, Nicole Hargis and Jeremy, Stonewall; and many other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Fannie Mae Vires Couey; grandmother, Era Couey; stepdaughter, Tawanna Sexton and grandparents, Issac and Gracie Vires.
Bearers are Marc Chamberlain, David Leland, Randy Northam, Bill Padley, Danny Vires and Josh Vires.
Honorary bearers are Gary Humphreys, Brad Gould, Kenny Pierce and Darryl Weller.
Family night will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Brown’s Funeral Service, Coalgate.
