ADA — Services for Eldin Leo Free, 75, Ada, are pending with Criswell Funeral Home. Mr. Free died Thursday, April 17, 2008, at his home.

SAMMIE KAYE SMITH

ADA — Services for Sammie Kaye Smith, 61, Ada, will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Byran Harwell will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith died Thursday, April 17, 2008, at her home. She was born Jan. 8, 1947, in Ada to Sam and Beaulah Myrl Click-Kennedy.

Mrs. Smith attended Ada schools and graduated from Ada High School in 1965. She earned a bachelor of science degree from West Texas University in Canyon, Texas. She taught at American Alternative School and Crockett Middle School before returning to Ada to obtain a master’s degree in education from East Central University. She taught students at Ada High School Algebra I, Algebra II and College Algebra until her retirement in the summer of 2007. She taught for AHS 18 years.

She married David Lee Smith Jan. 21, 1966.

Survivors include her husband, David Lee Smith, of the home; three children, Stacey Lynn Collins, Denver, Colo., Kellie Lee Haning, Highlands Ranch, Colo., and Dustin Wayne Smith, Muskogee; a brother, Eual Wayne Kennedy, San Luis Obispo, Calif.; and six grandchildren, Megan, Kirstie, Seth, Cailey, Cole and David.

Bearers are Gary Burden, Robert Ingram, Johnny Gallagher, Derek McNutt, Brian Hughes and Chase Hughes.

The family says those who wish may make memorials to the Valley View Foundation in care of cancer treatment center, 430 N. Monte Vista, Ada, OK 74820.

COALGATE — Services for Larry George Cole, 52, Coalgate, are 2 p.m. Saturday at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Burial follows at Lone star Cemetery.
