LORENE LULL

ADA — Graveside services for Lorene Lull, 93, Ada, are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Rosedale Cemetery, Mr. Bobby Johns will officiate.

Mrs. Lull died Sunday, April 27, 2008, at a local nursing home. She was born Feb. 16, 1915, at Ada to Floyd and Marie Westbrook South.

She attended Vanoss schools and graduated from Vanoss High School. Mrs. Lull was a homemaker and a member of Southwest Church of Christ.

She married Lowell E. “Pete” Lull April 11, 1964. He died Jan. 3, 2000.

Survivors include two sons, Lowell Lull Jr., and wife LouAnn, Livemore, Calif., and Curtis Lull and wife Vanessa, Santiago, Chile; a sister, Katy Myers, Ada; two nephews, James Myers, Ada, and Harold McIlroy, Arizona; and a niece, JoAnn Mitchell, Texas.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lucille Solomon and Lois McIlroy.

MELVIN HOLLAND

JESSE — Services for Melvin Goodman Holland, 82, Jesse, are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Stonewall Baptist Church, the Revs. Jody Hamm, Ed Blackledge and Gary Jamar officiating. Burial follows at Jesse Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today evening at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Holland died Friday, April 25, 2008, at an Ardmore Veterans’ Administration Center. He was born Jan.10, 1926, at Jesse to Ed and Rachel Holland and lived in the Jesse area all his life.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Italy and was awarded the Purple Heart, Bronze Star and WWII Victory Medal. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a farmer and rancher. He was a member of Stonewall Baptist Church.

He married Doris Mann Aug. 16, 1945, at Modesto, California. She died Dec. 6, 1979, in Ada.

Survivors include one son, Eddie “Tubby” Holland and wife JonAnn, Ardmore; one granddaughter, Brandi Singleton and husband Travis, Ardmore; one grandson, Brent Holland and fiancé, Lizzi Mize, Durant; one great-granddaughter, Linley Singleton, Ardmore; one great-grandson, Deacon Singleton, Ardmore; two sisters, Helen Barrett, Fort Worth, Texas; and Margie Gilstrap, Willis Texas; three brothers, Kenneth Holland, Fort Worth, Texas; Edwin Holland, Jesse; and Ralph Holland, Jesse.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lois Brashears and Louise Barrett, and a great-granddaughter, Hannah Singleton.

Bearers are Doug Miller, Randy Johnson, Don Mann, Steve Hudson, Don Henry, Ron Bloomfield, and Greg Lovelis. Honorary bearers will be his nephews.

DONNA GUINN

ADA — Services for Donna Guinn, 75, Ada, are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Bob Langston officiating. Burial follows at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Guinn died Friday, April 25, 2008, at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born March 26, 1933, at Ada to Henry and Myrtle Thompson Hodges.

She graduated from Ada High School in 1951 and lived in the Ada area most of her life. She was retired from Ada School System as a para-professional in special education. She was a member of Oklahoma Education Association and Ada First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Leigh Anne Yeargan and husband Jerry L. Yeargan II, Ada, and Vicky Whittemore, Ada; three sons, Roger Guinn and wife Brandi, Odessa, Texas, Fillmore Guinn and wife Phyllis, Glenpool, and Michael Guinn, Ada; 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; and a sister, Vivian Bassler, Yukon.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Hodges and Curtis Hodges, and a sister, Virginia West.

THELMA REDMAN

LAWTON — Services for Thelma Lucretia Redman, 94, Lawton, are 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, Stratford, officiated by the REv. Marvin Knox. Burial follows at Memorial Park Cemetery, Ada.

Mrs. Redman died April 26, 2008, at Lawton. She was born May 7, 1913, in Electra, Texas, to Charles and Alma Wallace.

She graduated from Aylesworth High School in 1931. She moved to Ada after World War II and wa sa homemaker and Sunday school teacher in the beginner department of First Baptist Church. In 1965, she moved to a farm east of Stratford and bought a grocery store. She helped her husband run the store until retirement. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Stratford and served on the bereavement dinner committee for many years.

She held several offices in Garvin County Extension Homemakers Club. She moved back to Ada in 2002 and to Lawton in April 2005.

She married E.L. Redman May 29, 1932, at Madill. He died in 2005.

Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Pat and Bill Blackburn, Lawton, and Mary and Dean Emerson, Oak Point, Texas; a son and his wife, Tommy and Carol Redman, Ada; three sisters, Fern Dunham, Durant, Bonnie Green, Madill, and Kathy sandefur, Madison, Wis.; two brothers, Worley Wallace, Madill, and David Wallace, Yukon; eight grandchildren, Rick Blackburn and wife Jenny, Knoxville, Tenn., Bobby Blackburn and wife LeeAnn, Cordell, Thomas Redman and wife Darla, Ada, Lara Broadrick and hsuband Weston, Phoenix, Ariz., Daniel Emerson and wife Tracy, Malaysia, Libby Crookham and husband Paul, Princeton, Texas, Josh Oats and wife Kim, Norman, and Amber Correll and husband John, Ada; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
