LINDA HOWARD
GERTY-Services for Linda Rosetta Howard, 58, Gerty, are 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Allen Church of God of Prophecy, Rev. Ed Rutherford will officiate. Burial will follow at Allen Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Criswell Chapel in Allen from 4:00 p.m. Thursday until service time.
Mrs. Howard died Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at her home. She was born April 7, 1950 at Blythe, California to Clifford Frank and Retta Jane Carter May. She and her family moved to the Gerty area from California when she was a child. She attended Gerty schools.
She married Cecil Ray Howard on April 21, 1968. Mrs. Howard was a homemaker and a health care provider and babysitter.
Survivors include her husband, Cecil Howard, of the home; three daughters, Penny Ward and husband Jeff, Allen, Mindy Simpson and husband Heath, Gerty, and Sheridan Howard, of the home; a son, David R. Howard and wife Michelle, Fittstown; four brothers, Frankie May, Gerty, Andy May, Norman, Donnie May, Gerty, and Roy May, Allen; three sisters, Nancy Poplin, Del City, Darlene Cash, Cashion, and Ginger Knighten, Allen; and eight grandchildren, Ashley Howard, Levi Howard, Austin Howard, Chase Ward, Hunter Simpson, Trapper Simpson, Heather Simpson, and Michael Simpson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Cora Cox.
Bearers will be David Howard, Dennis Poplin, Tommy Poplin, Billy Cash, Windale Knighten, and Levi Howard.

ADA-Services for Shirley Elaine Davis, 45, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Ada, Revs. James Feltner, Ron Baldridge, and Glen Eaves will officiate. Burial will follow at Maxwell Cemetery.
Mrs. Davis died Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at a local hospital. She was born September 8, 1962 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to William and Shirley Barnett Sandmann. She graduated from Wanette High School and East Central University.
She married Danny Wayne Davis on June 9, 1984 in Ada, Oklahoma. Mrs. Davis was employed for twenty years with Sandmann’s Grocery and Café in Tribbey and the last two years with the payroll department with the Chickasaw Nation Enterprises. She was a member of the Oil Center Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include her husband, Danny Davis, of the home; a daughter, Karisa Davis, of the home; a son, Clancy Davis, of the home; two sisters, Glenna Renner and husband Phil, Hernando, Mississippi, and Donna Boone and husband Bob, Wardville; an aunt, Beverly Arnold, Oklahoma City; cousins, Raymond Arnold II, Oklahoma City, Raymond Arnold III, Oklahoma City, and Justin Arnold, Oklahoma City; her mother-in-law, Betty Newby and husband Dearl, Ada; and father-in-law, Sam Estes, Ada; sisters-in-law, Darla Sadler and husband Eddie, Ada, Ronda West and husband Tim, Ada, Candace Driskill and husband Lloyd, Ada; brothers-in-law, Bo Estes and wife Randi, Ada, and Sammy Estes and wife Donnell, Latta; nieces, Jacy Cable and husband Denny, McAlester, Cassandra Mascorro, Dallas, Texas, Bonnie Boone, Wardville, Heather Boone, Wardville, Kacey and Kortney West, Ada, Lyra and Laci Estes, Ada, Katie and Emily Estes, Latta, and Presley Driskill, Ada; nephews, Matthew Gregson, Shawnee, PFC Tyler Sadler, Dustin West, Ada, and Landon and Lincoln Estes, Ada; a great niece, Bren Cable, McAlester; close and special friends, Ann and Tony Roberts, Ada, Joe Brummett, Macomb, Joni Nail, Ada, Donna Neely, Konawa, Glen and Judy Pinley, Ada, Shawna Busby, Joplin, Missouri, and Cindy Harrison, Tribbey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Brenda Sandmann, and two cousins, Toni Arnold and Jessica Arnold.
Bearers will be Mason Laxton, Clint Nickell, Tyler Hill, Tyler Snowden, Micah Mackey, and Cale Russell. Honorary bearers will be Cody Frye, Alva Rue Mackey, Toby Willoughby, Jupie Booth, Glen Pinley, Joe Brummett, PFC Tyler Sadler, Thadd Russell, Clay Young, Steve Sutton, Larry Houchins, and Todd Ray.

Mrs. Phillips died Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at a local nursing home.
