NAYOMA CHOATE

ADA — Services for Nayoma Valley Choate, 82, Ada, are 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Ada. Burial follows at Memorial Park Cemetery, Ada. Officiating will be the Revs. Robert Ware and Frank Hodge.

Mrs. Choate died Friday, May 9, 2008, at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City. She was born May 4, 1926, at Beebe to Elmer Pleasant Roberts and Ora Mae Eddings Roberts.

She married Milton B. “Pete” Choate Feb. 7, 1946, in Ada. He died July 24, 2000.

Mrs. Choate attended and graduated from Latta High School in Latta. She worked at Katz Department Store in Ada for many years as a sales clerk. She was a lifelong resident of the Ada area and was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Nickell and her husband Mike of Shawnee, and Diane Mosier and her husband Tony of Ada; two sisters, Vanoice Norman, Tulsa, and Lavora Miller, Claremore; three grandchildren, Angela Hodge and her husband Shane, Harrah, Kristi Cagle and her husband John of Ada, and Amber Parsons and her husband Brian of Shawnee; nine great-grandchildren, Brayden Mosier, Kelsey Mosier, Alyssa Mosier, Kaycee Cagle, Michael Parsons, Austin Hodge, Kaelyn Hodge, Meagan Hodge and Chloe Ann Hodge.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton “Pete” Choate; her parents, Elmer and Ora Roberts; two brothers, Rocky Roberts and Bill Roberts; and a grandson, Kevin Mosier.

Bearers are Mike Nickell, Tony Mosier, Terry Fulton, Shane Hodge, Brian Parsons and John Cagle.

SULPHUR — Services for Joe Don Richburg, 44, Sulphur, are 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Midway Hill Baptist Church in Sulphur. Burial follows at Oaklawn Cemetery.

Mr. Richburg died Sunday, May 11, 2008.

SEMINOLE — Larry Wayne Phillips Sr., 55, Seminole, will lie at Swearingen Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. today and 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Wednesday for family and friends to pay their respects. A private family service will be at a later date.

Mr. Phillips died May 9, 2008.
