ADA — Services for former Ada Mayor and Citycouncilman Joe L. Gifford, 81, are pending with the Wooster Funeral Home in Pauls Valley. Mr. Gifford died May 19, 2008.

SULPHUR — Services for Michael DeWayne Timmons, 46, Sulphur, are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery in Roff.
Mr. Timmons died Saturday, May 17, 2008, at a Sulphur hospital. He was born Dec. 6, 1961, at Ada to Claude Terrell and Fern Deon Scott Timmons.
He attended Ada High School and graduated from Metro Tech with a degree in master mechanics.
Mr. Timmons was an auto master mechanic. Previously, he was a truck driver and cement finisher. He and his family moved to Ada Dec. 1, 2006, from Sulphur. He was a member of Sulphur First Free Will Baptist Church.
He married Angel Dawn Timmons Nov. 18, 1989, at Reno, Nev.
Survivors include his wife, Angel Timmons, of the home; three daughters, Tabitha Davis, Oklahoma City, Dez'Arae Timmons, Sulphur, and Autumn Timmons, Sulphur; a son, Michael J. Timmons, Sulphur; his father, Claude Timmons, Ada; a granddaughter, Amelia; five brothers, Stacey Timmons, Sulphur, Randy Timmons, Ada, Terry Timmons, Tuska, David Timmons, Ada, Rick Haddenham, Ada; and two sisters, Eddiekay Draughbaugh, and Sandy Timmons, Atoka.
Bearers will be Adam Brougham, Bobby Blevins, Ronnie Bifield, Shannan Timmons, Terry Timmons, Michael Timmons, T. J. “Tinker” Draughbaugh and Anthony Davis.

ADA — Memorial services for Danny Ray “Grizz” Owen, 49, Ada, are 4 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. George Carson will officiate.
Mr. Owen died Friday, May 16, 2008, at his home. He was born Sept. 5, 1958, at Ada to Don and Hazel Henson Owen.
He attended Ada grade schools and graduated from Ada High School.
Mr. Owen worked for Don Owen Trucking Company and later was a self-employed trucker.
He married Debrena Graham Dec. 31, 2002.
Survivors include his wife, Debrena Owen, of the home; two daughters, Amber Owen, of the home, and Heather Frusher, Ada; two grandchildren, Sydney Owen and Brayden MacRobert; three sons, Justin Booth, Cole Booth, and Lane Scott, all of Ada; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Donnie Owen; a grandson, Jordan Hooser; and a niece, Tammy Cook.
