LUCAS WAINSCOTT
FRANCIS-Services for Lucas Bowdy Wainscott, 19 of Francis are 10 a.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Carl Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow at Pine Cemetery.
Mr. Wainscott died Monday, June 1, 2009 in Howe, Oklahoma. He was born December 17, 1989 at Oklahoma City to Max and Carol Guinn Wainscott. He attended Ada schools.
Survivors include his parents, Max and Carol Wainscott, Francis; two sisters, Maxi Wainscott, Kiowa, and Annie May Suter, Drumwright; several nieces and nephews; and his grandparents, George and Mary Guinn, Allen.
Bearers will be Chris Geer, Josh Littlefield, John Littlefield, John Stovall, Buddy Littlefield, and Cleaborn Guinn.

BRUCE ADAMS
TECUMSEH — Graveside services for Bruce Vaughn Adams, 60, will be Thursday, June 4, at Tecumseh Cemetery with Rev. Larry Sparks officiating. Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. today.
Mr. Adams died May 30, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Wichita, Kan., after a seven-year battle with cancer. He was born March 26, 1949 to James Victor Adams and Faye Ellen Sager Adams in Shawnee. He graduated from Maysville High School in Maysville. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Mr. Adams attended East Central State College in Ada where he met and married Janice Tribbey. Bruce later attended computer engineering classes at Tulsa University in Tulsa and began a long career in aircraft engineering at McDonell Douglas. He later worked in Wichita, Kan. at Cessna and Boeing. Bruce’s last position was an aerospace engineer at Honeywell in Phoenix, Ariz.
Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his daughter, Chandra Lei Adams, who also died of cancer, and his father, James Victor Adams.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Janice Tribbey Adams; son, Jared John Adams; mother, Faye Ellen Sager Adams; adopted daughter, Amy Louise Fentress; and granddaughters Chandra and Elenor. Also surviving are Bruce’s mother-in-law, Evelyn Tribbey; brothers-in-law, David and Tom Tribbey; sisters-in-law, Stephanie Perry Wilkins and Patricia Buck; and numerous cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Carcinoid Cancer Society, 333 Mamaroneck Ave # 492, White Plains, N.Y. 10605.

ADA — Services for Jerry "JD" Wilmoth, 65, are pending with Smith-Phillips Funeral Home of Ada. Mr. Wilmoth was born April 18, 1944 and died June 2, 2009.

BERTIE DEATON
ADA — Funeral services for Bertie Savannah Roark Deaton, 84, of Ada, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 4, 2009, at the Community Free Will Baptist Church in Pickett. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Ada, OK. Officiating will be Rev. John Henry Lippard.
Mrs. Deaton died Monday, June 1, 2009 at Valley View Regional Hospital in Ada, OK at the age of 84. She was born February 20, 1925 in Checotah, OK to Joe Roark and Nora Spaulding Roark. She married Andrew J. Deaton on June 8, 1946 in Las Vegas, NV.
Mrs. Deaton attended and graduated from Checotah High School in Checotah, OK. She worked in a cafeteria as a server for many years. She was a member of the Community Free Will Baptist Church in Pickett and she loved her family.
Mrs. Deaton is survived by her husband, Andrew Deaton of the home; two sons, Ronnie Deaton of Ada and Terry Deaton and his wife Shirley of Cleveland, TN; one daughter, Brenda Deaton Moran and her husband Robert of Ada; one brother, Leo Roark of Bakersfield, CA; two sisters, Better Fauver of Auburn, Calif. and Ola Varvel of Tucson, AZ; many grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Robert Deaton; her parents, Joe and Nora Roark; three brothers: Claude, J.M., and Johnny Roark; one sister, Daisy Southern; and one daughter-in-law, Phnaughn Deaton.
Pallbearers will be Joe Summers, Bill Hooser, Lawrence Waggoner, Wayn Holland, Frankie Bolin, and C.T. Holland.
Honorary Pallbearers are Paul Murphy, Gene Maddox, and David Hodges.
