FRANK CRABTREE
ADA — Services for Frank Ray Crabtree, 89, Ada, are 2 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2009, at the St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, The Rev. John D. Norvell will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Full military honors will be conducted at the cemetery by Tinker Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Crabtree died Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at his home. He was born Aug. 29, 1919, at Norman to Ernest Wiley and Mable Riddle Crabtree.
He attended Ada grade school and graduated from Ada High School. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor’s degree in business accounting.
He married Sondra Johnson Feb. 4, 1983.
Mr. Crabtree was owner of Ada Coca Cola Bottling Company, a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church where he was a longtime choir member and a longtime member of the Ada Lion’s Club. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and retired as a lieutenant colonel.
Survivors include his wife, Sondra Crabtree, of the home; two sons, Thomas B. Crabtree and his wife Darlene, Ada, and Frank Crabtree Jr., Ada; two daughters, Frances R. Crabtree, Union Valley, and Agnes Lane and her husband Mike, Union Valley; stepchildren, Stacy Whelchel and husband James, Ada, Drew Johnson and wife Tammy, Ada, and Jason Johnson and wife Lisa, Austin, Texas; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald Crabtree, New York City, N.Y.; and one sister, Ruth Frye, Lindsay.
Bearers will be Blake Crabtree, Adam Crabtree, Luke Crabtree, Clinton Lane, Alex Lane, Drew Johnson, and Jason Johnson. Honorary bearers will be Ted Savage, Jim Green, George Braly, Denver Davison, Don Page, Randy Taylor, Dan Church, Cecil Durr, Jim Armstrong, Leon Biddy, Joe Parsons, Jimmie Thomas, Mac McKee, and Bobby Johnson.
The family says those who wish may make memorials to Ada Arts and Heritage Center, 400 S. Rennie, Ada, OK 74820; or the Arbuckle Area Council Boy Scouts of America, P. O. Box 5309, Ardmore, OK 73403.

SULPHUR — Services for Hazel Castleberry, 84, Sulphur, are 2 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2009, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses. Ms. Castleberry died May 25, 2009, at Ardmore.

ADA — Services for the Rev. C. R. Hill, 87, Ada, are pending with Criswell Funeral Home. The Rev. Hill died Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at an assisted living center in Ada.
