SHAWNEE — Services for Floyd Leroy Wilkins, 90, are pending with Smith-Phillips Funeral Home in Ada. Mr. Wilkins died June 14 at Shawnee.
PHYLLIS DEAN
FORT SMITH, Ark. — Services for Phyllis Dean, 61, will be Tuesday, June 16, at 1:30 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith, Ark. She died Friday, June 12 at her residence in Muldrow, Okla.
Mrs. Dean was born Feb. 9, 1948 in Seminole, Okla., to Dorothy and Jewell Scates. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Dean is preceded in death by her father.
Survivors inlcude her husband of 43 years, James of Muldrow; two sons, James Dean, Muldrow, and John and wife Kristy of Muldrow; her mother, Dorothy Scates, Ada; sister Carol Hayden and husband John of Ada; brother Jewell Scates and wife Carolyn of Conway, Ark.; and four grandchildren, James Dean II, Bayleigh Dean, Dakota Dean and Emma Dean, all of Muldrow.

BARTLESVILLE-Services for Edward Eugene “Eddie” Files, 49, Bartlesville, formerly of Ada, are 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Frank Trent will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Stonewall.
Mr. Files died Saturday, June 13, 2009 at a Bartlesville hospital. He was born May 11, 1960 at Tulsa, Oklahoma to Chester David and Linda Ervin Files. He attended Ada schools and graduated from Ada High School.
Mr. Files was a cook at Midway Café in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
Survivors include one son, Brandon Unruh; his mother, Linda Tackett, Fittstown; a sister, Wilma Lou Bray, Oil Center; an aunt; and several uncles.

SASAKWA — Services for Kenneth Eugene VanTassel, 78, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, at Assembly of God in Sasakwa. Rev. Wesley Martin will officiate. Mr. VanTassel was born Aug. 16, 1930 and died June 8, 2009 at Ada.
