Ms. Brakebill died Friday, June 19, 2009, at a Coalgate hospital. She was born May 25, 1949, in Phoenixville, Pa., to Earl Buck and Julia Sawyer Buck.
Ms. Brakebill moved to Tupelo from McCook, Neb. in 1992. She also had lived in Coalgate for several years. She was a homemaker.
Survived include five sons, Mike Blagg and his wife Rochelle of Oklahoma City, Earl Blagg and his wife Amy of Coalgate, Thomas Blagg, Oklahoma City,, Jim Blagg, McCook, Neb., and Edward Jefrey, Ada; two daughters: Miranda Blagg, Antlers and Cynthia Adams and her husband Charley, Atoka; her father, Earl Buck, Two Rivers, Wis.; her mother, Julia Stone, McCook, Neb.; one brother, Ron Buck, McCook, Neb.; one sister, Sandra McCants, Lordsburg, N.M.; 18 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather: Harold Stone; and both sets of grandparents.

CUSHING — Memorial services for Jo Lynn Moore, 48, Cushing, formerly of the Ada and Fittstown area are 10 a.m. Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Larry Hawkins will officiate. A celebration of life for Ms. Moore will be held at a later time in Cushing.
Ms. Moore died Sunday, June 21, 2009, at a Tulsa hospital. She was born Nov. 3, 1960 at Craig, Colo., to Joe Bob and Judy Vincent Kowey.
She attended McLish school and graduated from Ada High School in 1979. She was a basketball player at McLish school. She studied chemistry and microbiology at Tulsa University and received a bachelor of science degree from Northwestern University in Tulsa. She served in the U.S. Army.
Ms. Moore was a medical technologist at numerous hospitals.
Survivors include a daughter, Jessica Moore, Stratford; her fiancé, Steve O’Dell, Cushing; her mother, Judy Fisher, Fittstown; two sisters, Carol Bunyard, Ada, and Kathy Keel, Albuquerque, N.M.; one brother, Robert Kowey, Tulsa; an aunt, Linda Green, Madill; a cousin, Misty Haaksman, Houston, Texas; nieces and nephews, Amber Bunyard, Randi Kowey, Ryan Kowey, Russell Bunyard, and Rance Kowey; and three great-nephews; and two great-nieces.

GUTHRIE — Services for Ann Patrick Norton, 90, Guthrie, formerly of Ada, are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Rusty Fuller officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Ms. Norton died June 20, 2009, at a Guthrie hospital. She was born Feb. 22, 1919, at Clinton County, Kentucky, to Richard H. and Sallie Ann Madison Patrick.
She lived most of her life in Ada before moving to Guthrie in 1980. She was a former member of Trinity Baptist Church in Ada.
She was married to Robert Scott German, who died in World War II. She then married Fred “Pop” Norton in 1952. He died April 22, 1980.
Survivors include one daughter, Gretta Ann Johnson, Guthrie; three grandchildren, Donette Johnson and husband Jeremiah, Darin Scott Johnson and Todd Braden Johnson, all of Guthrie; five great-grandchildren, Stephanie Lowrance and husband Ryan, Colby Wagner and wife Leslea, Collin Duel and wife Madeline, Tyler Scott Johnson and Connor Johnson; four great-great-grandchildren, Madyson Ann Lowrance, Ryder Lowrance, Cortnea Wagner and Camryn Wagner.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Walter E. Black; two sisters, Helen E. Marshal and Valera Coventon; two brothers, Bruce E. Patrick and Kermit Patrick; a son-in-law, Don G. Johnson; and a niece, Carol Lynn Coventon.
