HARREL MCMANUS
ADA — Services for Harrel Douglas McManus, 83, Ada, are 2 p.m. Friday at 32nd Street Church of Christ, Carl Johnson officiating. Burial follows at McGee Cemetery, Stratford. Military honors will be conducted at the graveside by Chickasaw Honor Guard.
Mr. McManus died Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at a local hospital. He was born March 17, 1926, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, to Jerry and Maybelle Fowler McManus.
He attended school at Pauls Valley and also at Oklahoma A & M. He served in the U. S. Army during World WAr II from 1944 – 1946 in the 195th Engineers Co. and received the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, WWII Victory Medal, Army of Occupation Medal, and Marksman Award. Mr. McManus retired as a pharmaceutical salesman for McKesson-Robbins and had also been self-employed as a sign painter. He was a member of the Galey Church of Christ.
He married Lila Dean Sealey on February 19, 1955, in Gainesville, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, Dean, of the home; three daughters, Karen Goodnight, and her husband Stan, Norman; Sherri McManus, Ada; and Kristina McManus, Ada; 11 grandchildren, Kyle Goodnight, Katie Goodnight and Madie Goodnight, all of Norman; Tyler Frazier and Brittney Frazier, both of Ada; Joshua Thompson, Ada; Christian Roller, Ada; Amanda Eddings and her husband Jason, Ada; Elizabeth Boyett, Ada; Nicole Willis and her husband Michael, Ada; and Ashton Ward, Ada; one great grandson, Michael Greenlee, Ada; one sister, Zelma Stephens and her husband Donald Lee, Elmore City; and two brothers, Odie McManus and his wife Wilma, Pauls Valley; and Bill McManus and his wife Shirley, Pauls Valley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four daughters, Harrelyn Boyett, Cynthia Bermudez, Redena McManus and Kimberly McManus; a grandson, Christopher McManus; and six brothers and sisters.
Bearers are grandsons, Kyle Goodnight, Joshua Thompson, Michael Willis, Tyler Frazier, friend, Eddie Easterling, and nephew, Gerald Sealey. Honorary bearers are Governor Bill Anoatubby, Bill Lance and Brian Campbell.

ADA — Services for Lela Mae Jones, 79, Ada, are 1 p.m. Saturday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Revs. Donnie Johnson and Greg McCortney will officiate. Burial will follow at Centrahoma Cemetery.
Mrs. Jones died Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at her home. She was born April 14, 1930, at Atoka to Ralph and Annie Owens Compton. She married William Jones Aug. 10, 1946. He died Dec. 16, 1983.
Mrs. Jones moved to Centrahoma from Arkansas in 1983. She was a homemaker and served as a provider for two years in Coal County.
Survivors include one son, Junior Clarence Jones, Jonesboro, Ark.; three daughters, Mildred Hisaw, Truman, Ark., Rachel Jones, Truman, Ark., and Hester Jones, Ada; a special friend, Alton Long; two brothers, Ralph Compton, Centrahoma, and Willie Compton, Oregon; six sisters, Pearl Tisdale, Centrahoma, Louella Reed, Centrahoma, Kathy Bateman, Fittstown, Annie Bell Carroll, Tupelo, Lola Daffron, Sunray, Texas, and Mary Smith, Fort Smith, Ark.; 17 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Mable Poe, one sister, Pat McKinney, and three brothers, Roy Compton, Johnny Compton, and Ray Compton.
Bearers will be Donnie Long, Travis Allen, J. J. Brooks, Corky Acosta, Amanda Blackwell, Steven Carroll, Vince Reed and Darrell Long.

NANCY BOISSENIN
ADA — Services for Nancy Babin Boissenin, 64, Ada, are 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, the Rev. Rusty Hewes will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. A wake service will be 7 p.m. Thursday at Criswell Chapel, the Rev. Mike Radosevich will officiate.
Ms. Boissenin died Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at a local nursing home. She was born Dec. 20, 1944, at Houma, La., to Athwood J. and Lottie Mary Guidry Babin.
She attended Bernard Terrace elementary school and graduated from Baton Rouge High School. She studied ancient and medieval history, art, drafting and ancient Greek history at East Central College in Ada. She moved to Ada in 1975 from Louisiana. Ms. Boissenin was a homemaker and a Catholic.
Survivors include three sons, Allen Joseph Boissenin and wife Donna, Broken Arrow, Steven Michael Boissenin and wife Vicki, Ada, and David Louis Boissenin and wife Jennifer, Owasso; grandchildren, Leeanne, Allen Jon, Lane Michael, Lauren, Mahgen, Taylor, and Kelsey; and an aunt, Mary Chapman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and an uncle, Andrew Babin.
Bearers will be Mike Reed, Earl Roberts, Drew Johnson, Robert Prater, Judd Henderson and Joe Estes. Honorary bearers will be Lane Boissenin, A. J. Boissenin, Kerry Moore, Louis Del Moore, Chris Moore, Butch Babin, John Haskins, and the Rev. Mike Radosevich.
