BUNT MORRISON
STONEWALL - Graveside services for Jerry Wayne “Bunt” Morrison, 61, Stonewall, are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Highland Cemetery, the Rev. Wilma Ledbetter will officiate.
Mr. Morrison died Thursday, June 25, 2009, at his home. He was born Nov. 30, 1947, at Stonewall to Jess Andrew and Daisy Higsby Morrison. He graduated from Stonewall High School.
Mr. Morrison was employed with a utility gas company in Texas, and later was a self-employed plumber and roofer.
Survivors include two daughters, Shelly Chenot, Asher, and Jennifer Hansmyer of Texas; one son, Greg Morrison, Texas; two sisters, Louise Woolly, Stonewall and Ruby Ward, Oklahoma City; one brother, Dave Morrison, Wayne; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, Steve Morrison and wife Debbie, Stonewall, Bob Morrison, Houston, Texas, Sherry VanHorn and husband Bruce, Ada, Jess Morrison and wife Michelle, Stonewall, Victor Morrison, Jimmy Woolly, Betty Wilson, James Harper, and Leah Morrison.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one son, Michael Morrison, two sisters, Opal Harper and Pauline Wilson; and two brothers, G. W. Morrison and Paul Morrison.
Bearers will be his nephews. Honorary bearers will be Tommy Johnston, Vicki Johnston, Gene Williamson and Bill Tackett.

DAVID NICKERSON
Memorial services for David Glenn Nickerson, 47, Comanche, are 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 29, at Corum Baptist Church, Corum, the Rev. Bruce Humphries officiating. Burial follows in Fairlawn Cemetery, Comanche.
David Glenn Nickerson was born to Elmer Lee and Nancy Annagene Dunbar Nickerson on April 15, 1962, at Port Hueneme, Calif. He died near Comanche June 24, 2009.
Mr. Nickerson grew up in California until the age of 14 when his family moved back to the family homestead in Cotton County near Beaver Creek in 1976. He made his home at Francis for a time before living in Comanche for the past 16 years. He grew up farming and had a custom hay service with his dad. He worked in the oilfield and at one time was employed by Halliburton. He was also a truck driver.
Mr. Nickerson was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Duncan and active in Karios Prison Ministry.
He was preceded in death by his son David Ray Nickerson.
Survivors include his parents, Elmer and Annagene Nickerson, Walters; his son, Delmer Lee Nickerson and Ashley, Tecumseh; a grandson, Blake Dale Lee Nickerson, Tecumseh; two brothers and their spouses, William Robert Nickerson and Adraine of Baltimore, Md., James Elmer Nickerson and Jeri of Grand Junction, Colo.; two sisters and their spouses Nancy Leianne Weir and Bruce of Duncan, Tomi Elizabeth Weir and Kenneth of Walters,; many other relatives and friends.

ARDMORE — Funeral services Norma M. Buchanan, 84, will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Harvey-Douglas Centennial Chapel with the Rev. Truman Ferguson officiating. Interment will be at 2 p.m. in Crescent Cemetery in Crescent.
Ms. Buchanan died June 24, 2009, in an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born March 26, 1925, at Burkburnett, Texas, to Allen and Hazel Brown Morris.
Ms. Buchanan retired from the Social Security Administration Office in Ada. She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Ada. She had lived in Ardmore the past nine years. She had volunteered many years with the Ardmore Veterans Center, even before moving to Ardmore, supplying books and magazines for them. This earned her the nickname “The Book Lady”.
She married James Buchanan in 1948 and he preceded her death in 1971. She was also preceded in death by a brother Max Morris.
Survivors include daughter Sheila Bell and husband Terry of Ardmore, sons, Brian Buchanan and wife Peggy of Lufkin, Texas and Brent Buchanan and wife Brenda of Houston, grandchildren, Jennifer and Jamie Bell, David, Brett, Bonnie and Matthew Buchanan.
