JOE LOVELACE
ADA — Services for Forrest Joe Lovelace, 87, Ada, are 1 p.m. Monday at Covenant Cumberland Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Linda Snelling will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. e Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Lovelace died Friday, June 26, 2009, at a local hospital. He was born Nov. 29, 1921, at Jesse to John Grover and Flora Ethel Stevenson Lovelace.
He graduated from Latta High School.
He married Naomi Jean Hensley on Dec. 13, 1940. She died Dec. 26, 2003, at Ada.
Mr. Lovelace was a chemist at Ideal Cement, now Holcim until his retirement with 34 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Lovelace was a longtime active member of Covenant Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he served as a church elder and Sunday school teacher. He and his wife were active with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church Camp for more than 40 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Becky Davidson and her husband Randy, Ada; three sons, Danny Lovelace and his wife Judy, Gainesville, Texas, Larry Lovelace and his wife Jana, Ardmore, and Gary Lovelace and his wife Barbara, Ardmore; eight grandchildren, Michael Lovelace and wife Rebekah, McKinney, Texas, Kim Smith and husband Glenn, Marietta, Chad Lovelace and wife Shanna, Ada, Valerie Forsythe and husband Josh, Dale, Stacey Bolin and husband Brandon, Ada, Mandy Roberts and husband Jason, Wilson, Melody Johnson and husband Brandon, Midwest City, Rylee Davidson, Ada, Dannie Sue Davidson, Ada, Terri Mitchell and husband Eddie, Sugarland, Texas, Kent Horner and wife Alicia, Lenexa, Kan., and Keith Horner and wife Cathy, Mission, Kan.,; great-grandchildren, Devyn Smith, Dallen, Dayton and Denton Forsythe, Austin Johnson, Ava and Jessica Bolin, Graham and Katelyn, and Samuel and Naomi Lovelace; a brother, John Lovelace and wife Joyce, Evansville, Ind.; and one sister, Helen Cooper, Ada.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Bobbie Battle and Inez Stegall and a brother, Marion Lovelace.
Bearers will be Danny Lovelace, Larry Lovelace, Gary Lovelace, Randy Davidson, Michael Lovelace and Chad Lovelace. Honorary bearers will be James Cruson and Quinton Hall.
The family says those who wish may make memorials to the Covenant Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 15791 SH 1 W, Ada, OK 74820.

WEWOKA — A wake for the Rev. Leroy Alexander, 74, Wewoka, is 7 p.m. today, June 28, at Middle Creek 2 Baptist Church. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Monday, June 29, at Middle Creek 2 Baptist Church. Burial follows at Hawkis Cemetery.
Mr. Alexander died June 25, 2009, at his home.

Emozett Phillips
KONAWA — Services for Emozett Tyler Phillips, 77, Konawa, are 2 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2009, at the P.A.C. Building at Konawa High school, the Rev. Steve Lowrance officiating. Burial follows at Konawa City Cemetery.
Mrs. Phillips died Thursday, June 25, 2009, at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born Dec. 6, 1931, at Konawa to John Wesley and Dorfie G. Smith Tyler.
Mrs. Phillips grew up in Konawa and graduated from Konawa High School. After she married, Mrs. Phillips lived in Norman until June of 1962 when they moved back to Konawa. She was a seamstress for Michael Casuals Sewing Factory for 22 years until they closed in 1984 and was a homemaker. Mrs. Phillips was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Konawa, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Phillips married Vivian Huland “Bill“ Phillips on March 13, 1953, in Ardmore.
Survivors include her husband, Vivian Huland “Bill” Phillips of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, David Mitchell and Pamela Phillips of Oklahoma City; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Charles Nail of Sasakwa and Marsha and Rodney Bronniman of Konawa; four brothers, Wesley Clinton Tyler and Roy Gordon Tyler, both of Stratford, Bobby Lee Tyler, Ada, and Johnny Everett Tyler, Pickett; three sisters, Agnes Williams, Seminole, Patricia L. Goins, Newport, Ore., and Virginia R. Cleveland, Fayetteville, Ark.; seven grandchildren, Tracy Burris, Stacy Gee, Clayton Phillips, Heath Nail, Brett Nail, Joshua Bronniman and Logan Bronniman; 11 great-grandchildren, Sarah Gee, Hannah Gee , Lydia Gee, Kate Burris, Claire Burris, Britney Turner, Halee Nail, Karsen Nail, Domineque Borders, McKenna Nail and Dalton Nail.
