SARAH BARRON
PALM COAST, Fla. — Services for Sarah Jo Barron (neé Batten), 74, Palm Coast, Florida, are 11 a.m. Friday, July 3, 2009, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 5400 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast.
Mrs. Barron died Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at a local hospice, following a short illness. She was born June 29, 1935, in Flat River, Mo.
She graduated from the University of Missouri at Columbia, where she was a member of the University Singers choral group.
In 1971, Mrs. Barron relocated with her husband and children to Lawton, Okla., where much of her professional career was spent as manager of an oral surgery practice. During her time in Lawton, she was choir director of St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church.
A career transition to the Federal Aviation Administration Center for Management Development in the late 1980s led to her final relocation to Palm Coast. There she became a charter member of the Choral Arts Society. In addition to her many CAS performances, she also participated in the choir at St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
Contributions to her church community included past and recent service as senior warden. She was also a member of the vestry.
Mrs. Barron is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph.
She is survived by a son, daughter-in-law, and grandchild, Richard and Abby Barron and Mitchell Garis of Byng, Okla.; a daughter, Nicole Barron, New Orleans, La.; a sister, Margaret Skinner, Thousand Oaks, California.

TALIHINA — Mass of Christian Burial for Jerry Lusk Thomas, 71, Talihina, was celebrated at 9:30 a.m. today at St. Catherine's of Siena Church, Talihina. Burial followed at New Talihina Cemetery.
Mr. Thomas died Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at Shawnee.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Catherine's of Siena Catholic Church.

SULPHUR — Services for Douglas Lee Lilly, 94, Sulphur, are 10 a.m. Friday, July 3, 2009, at First Baptist Church of Sulphur. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens at 2 p.m. in Oklahoma City.
Mr. Lilly died June 30, 2009, at Sulphur.

RONALD MARTIN
STRATFORD — Services for Ronald LynnMartin, 49, Stratford, are 2 p.m. Friday at Life Point Church, Stratford, the Rev. Lewis Perry officiating. Burial follows at McGee Cemetery.
Mr. Martin died June 30, 2009, at Stratford. He was born April 6, 1960, in Kansas City, Kan., to Jack and Patsy Gilmore Martin.
He married Annette McCurley in Stratford on Nov. 1, 2008.
He worked in construction as a tile setter and lived most of his life in Stratford. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Survivors include his wife, Annette Martin, of the home; a daughter, Amiee Martin, Ada; a son, Justin Martin and wife Mandy, Ada; his parents, Jack and Pat Martin, Stratford; two stepdaughters, Suzann Cummins and husband Vick, College Station, Texas, and Melinda Carter, Stillwater; a stepson, Brian Carter, Stillwater; two brothers, Gary Martin and wife Susan, Fayetteville, N.C., and Steve Martin and wife Lisa, Tulsa; a sister, Cindy O'Connor and husband Brian, Marietta; eight nieces and nephews.

ADA — Services for Harold Jack Presley, 98, Ada, are 1 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Charles Murphy will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Presley died Wednesday, July 1, 2009, in Ada. He was born Feb. 23, 1911, at Tishomingo to Harold and Annie Harris Presley.
He moved to Ada in 1946 from Tishomingo.
He married Nora Beatrice Nicholas on July 4, 1928 at Tishomingo. She died April 24, 1997, in Ada.
Mr. Presley was a mechanic at Service Chevrolet until his retirement. He was a longtime member of the Covenant Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder for many years.
Survivors include two daughters, Louise Southerland, Roff and Janet McWhorter and husband Harold, Ada; one son, James “Pete” Presley and wife Lahoma, Ada; a daughter-in-law, Emma Lee Presley, Ada; nine grandchildren, Janie Murphy and husband Charles, Clinton, Judy Davidson and husband Ron, Ada, Sue Moore and husband Butch, Roff, Deb Standridge and husband Paul, Allen, Gail Kirkland and husband Ernest, Roff, June Newberry and husband Terry, Ada, Jean Houston and husband Doy, Ada, Jay Presley and wife Tonya, Ada, Jack Presley and friend, Donná, Kingston, James Presley and wife Janice, Byng, and Joe Presley and wife Teresa, Ada; forty great grandchildren; forty-one great-great- grandchildren; and a sister, Blanche Carnes, Odessa, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his wife, a son, Aubrey Jackson Presley on Dec. 10, 2008, a grandson, Terry Joe Presley, granddaughter, Betty Hembree, one great great grandchild, Patrick Charles Murphy, a son-in-law, Oscar Southerland on Jan. 29, 1996, three sisters, Lou Miller, Della Neely and Jane Bolin, and two brothers, Ezra Shriver and Truman Shriver.
Bearers will be his grandsons and great grandsons, Jack Presley, James Presley, Jay Presley, Joe Presley, Josh Presley and Johnny Brown. Honorary bearer will be Gail Blankenship.
