AUDREY HUGHES
MILL CREEK — Services for Audrey E. Hughes, 93, Mill Creek, were 10 a.m. today, July 3, at Clark Funeral Chapel in Tishomingo. Jon Smith officiated.. Burial followed at Mill Creek Cemetery.
Mrs. Hughes died Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at a Sulphur nursing home. She was born June 11, 1916, in Reagan, Okla., to Willis Baker and Ella Rexroat Baker.
She grew up in this area and married Minor H. Hughes on Aug. 17, 1933, in Ardmore.
Mrs. Hughes was a homemaker, of the Baptist faith, taught Sunday School and played the piano in church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Oct. 11, 2003; a daughter, Mina Maxon; three brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include four sons and a daughter-in-law, Howard Hubert Hughes, Charles Selwynn Hughes and his wife Alice, all of Mill Creek, William Dewey Hughes and Willis Delwynn Hughes of Reagan; five daughters and three sons-in-law, Mildred Marie West and her husband Joe of Francis, Jeanette Audrey Hoefer, Ethel Dean Nelson and her husband Cecil, Joyce Ann Soirez, all of Mill Creek and Carrie Lee Pennel and her husband Dean of Morrow, Ark; 44 grandchildren and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Bearers for the service were Terry Hughes, Barry Hughes, Gary Hughes, Craig Hughes, Mark Miller and Larry Farmer.

RONALD MARTIN
STRATFORD — Services for Ronald Lynn Martin, 49, Stratford, are 2 p.m. Friday at Life Point Church, Stratford, the Rev. Lewis Perry officiating. Burial follows at McGee Cemetery.
Mr. Martin died June 30, 2009, at Stratford. He was born April 6, 1960, in Kansas City, Kan., to Jack and Patsy Gilmore Martin.
He married Annette McCurley in Stratford on Nov. 1, 2008.
He worked in construction as a tile setter and lived most of his life in Stratford. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Survivors include his wife, Annette Martin, of the home; a daughter, Amiee Martin, Ada; a son, Justin Martin and wife Mandy, Ada; his parents, Jack and Pat Martin, Stratford; two stepdaughters, Suzann Cummins and husband Vick, College Station, Texas, and Melinda Carter, Stillwater; a stepson, Brian Carter, Stillwater; two brothers, Gary Martin and wife Susan, Fayetteville, N.C., and Steve Martin and wife Lisa, Tulsa; a sister, Cindy O'Connor and husband Brian, Marietta; eight nieces and nephews.
Bearers are Robbie Hatter, randy Hatter, Shawn Lunsford, Santee Wade, Shawn Mann,Johnny Mann,James Qualls and Jeff Cosby. Honorary bearers are Jared Luman,Jesse Ramsey.

ALLEN — Services for Warren Blan Garrett, 89, Allen, were 10 a.m. today, July 3, at Non Free Will Baptist Church. Burial was in Non Cemetery.
Mr. Garrett died Wednesday, Juy 1, 2009, at Allen.

ELMER WALDEN
UNION VALLEY — Services for Elmer David Walden, 88, Union Valley are 11 a.m. Monday at Faith Assembly of God Church in Ada, the Rev. Greg Pollard and Van Long will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mr. Walden died Thursday, July 2, 2009, at an Ardmore Veterans Center. He was born Nov. 5, 1920, at Coleman City, Texas, to John Jackson Walden and Fanny Brown.
He married Ruth E. Jackson in 1968. He and his wife moved to Ada in 1999. Mr. Walden was a feed mill operator in California for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the Warehouse Ministries in Sacramento, Calif., and after moving to Ada, was active with Faith Assembly of God Church. He also served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Walden, of the home; nine nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law, Joice Sliger and her husband Royce, Owl Creek and Lois Burris and her husband Nathan, Ada; and three brothers-in-law, William Jackson, Union Valley, James Jackson, Oklahoma City, and John Jackson, Corona, Calif.
Bearers will be his nephews, David Jackson, Mark Jackson, Steven Jackson, Michael Jackson and Keith Burris, and his brother-in-law, Royce Sliger.
