WALTER NYE

SULPHUR — Services for Walter “Ray” Nye, 88, Sulphur, will be Wednesday Aug. 19 at 10 a.m. at the Memorial Free Will Baptist Church with interment in Oaklawn Cemetery.

Mr. Nye died Aug. 14. He was born in Bradley to George W. and Lela Mae (Billings) Nye. He had lived most of his life in the Sulphur area, attending school at Oak Grove.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Ruby Day and Colleen Tidwell and a brother, Cleon Nye.

Survivors include one sister; Linda Webster of Ada, two brothers: Jim Nye of Sulphur, and Kenneth Nye of Mariposa, Calif., and several nieces and nephews.

NOLA LINTON

NON — Funeral services for longtime Calvin resident, Nola Linton will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009 at Missionary Baptist Church in Non with the Reverend Glen Russell officiating. She died Sunday, Aug. 16, 2009 in McAlester at the age of 88.

Burial will be at Non Cemetery under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville.

Nola L. Ingram Linton was born June 28, 1921 in Stonewall to Will Ingram and Mary (Sherrfield) Ingram. She remained in the Non and Calvin areas all her life. Nola married Everette Linton in Calvin in 1946. She was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers and sisters and one daughter, Sue Campbell.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Everette; one son, Gene Linton and his wife, Glenda, of Ada; and a sister, Rose Linton of Calvin; four grandchildren, Wesley Linton and Russell Linton both of Ada, Ashley Campbell of Tulsa and Lyn Campbell of Calvin.

Pallbearers are Wesley Linton, Russell Linton, Brad Linton, Mark Brown, Shelly Turpin, and Denny Boren. An online guest book is available at www.phillipsfuneralservice.com.
