THELMA EDWARDS
HOLDENVILLE — Funeral services for Thelma O. Peck Edwards, 90, Holdenville, were Saturday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Jim Standard officiating. Burial followed at Holdenville Cemetery under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.
Mrs. Edwards was born Aug. 1, 1918, in Fanshawe, Okla., in LeFlore County to William Robert and Mattie Pennington Peck. After graduating from Atwood High School, she attended East Central State College in Ada and married Glenn Edwards in 1941. While her husband was in the service during World War II, Mrs. Edwards joined the war effort by working at North American Aviation in Grand Prairie, Texas. She and Mr. Edwards moved to Atwood in 1946 before moving to Holdenville in 1994.
Mrs. Edwards was a teacher for 33 years and retired in 1979. She was a member of Atwood Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Glenn D. Edwards in 1995, sisters Bertie Peck Crabtree and Armon Peck Cagle and brothers Henry Noel Peck and Owen G. Peck.
Survivors include her twin sister, Velma O. Peck Davis of Atwood; sisters-in-law, Opal Edwards Berryhill of Midwest City and Nola Peck of Wewoka; nieces, Patricia Davis McMahan and Joleta Peck Stephens; nephews, Jack Cagle, Lloyd, Bobby and Donald Peck, Bill Davis and many other relatives and friends.

TULSA — Services for Karen Lynn Collier, 60, Tulsa, formerly of Ada, are 12 noon Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. John Haynes officiating. Burial follows at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Ms. Collier died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008, at a Tulsa hospital. She was born Jan. 23, 1948, in Ada to Clifford Carroll and Lorice Billings Collier.
She attended school in Ada and graduated from Ada High School in 1966. She graduated from Northeastern State University with a bachelor of science degree. She retired three weeks ago as an administrative assistant for Merrill Lynch Company. Ms. Collier was a member of South Tulsa Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Richard Taliaferro, Phoenix, Ariz.; two brothers, Terry Collier and wife Debra, Tulsa; and Don Collier and wife Barbara, Caney, Kan.; four nieces, Lynn Kavulich, Kathy Collier, Amber Collier and Ashton Collier; and one nephew, Erik Scott..

ARDMORE — Graveside services for Nevaeh Precious Lozano, 2-week-old infant daughter of Jose Luis Lozano Jr. and Charli Rene Onco Lozano are 1 p.m. Friday at Steedman Cemetery, the Rev. Hazel Wallace will officiate.
Nevaeh died Monday, Aug. 18, 2008, at an Oklahoma City hospital.

ADA — Services for Thelma Dale Spain, 83, Ada, are 10 a.m. Friday at Morris Memorial Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Spain died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008, at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born Aug. 8, 1925, at Hobart, Okla., to John Theodore and Ruth Freeman Pitts.
She attended Hobart schools and moved to this area many years ago from Hobart. Mrs. Spain was formerly employed at Solo Cup Company and Bama Pie Factory and was a homemaker. She was a member of Morris Memorial Baptist Church.
She married Henry Neugin. He died in 1982. She later married Wesley Spain. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Neugin and wife Elaine, Ada, and Floyd Neugin and wife Ki, Fittstown; a brother, Bobby Borden; five grandchildren, Jimmy Neugin, Terry Neugin, Eric Neugin, Krig Neugin and Ashley Fennell; and five great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Chris Rigsby, J.B. Bolin, Bill Bolin, Don Turley, Krig Neugin and Ted Townsend.
