EVELENA BASINGER
HEALDTON — Graveside services for Evelina Basinger, 95, are 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, at Healdton Cemetery. Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Monday at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas.
Ms. Basinger was born Oct. 17, 1912, in Santa Monica, Calif., and died Oct. 4, 2008, in Richardson, Texas.
She is survived by son, John Basinger and wife Joan; sisters, Faye Harp and Eva Johnson; grandchildren, Kyle Basinger and wife Marijo, Clark Basinger and wife Beth, and Mark Basinger; great-grandchildren, Aaron Basinger and wife Rachel, Lauren Basinger, Brooke Basinger, Cathryn Basinger, Jake Basinger, Zach Basinger and Chase Basinger.

ADA — Vonnie Jo Webb, 53, Ada, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, in Ada. She was born March 31, 1955, in Seminole to Richard and Harlene Shirey Dickerson.
She married Ron Webb in February 1976 in Oklahoma City.
Mrs. Webb moved to this area in 1989 from Asher. She was employed for many years as a registered nurse and at McCall's Chapel.
Survivors include her husband, Ron Webb, of the home; a son, Daylon Webb and wife Charity, Stillwater; two brothers, Larry Dickerson, Alaska, and Gary Dickerson, Choctaw; her mother, Harlene Dickerson Wise and husband Jack, Oklahoma City.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Dickerson.

COALGATE — Services for Elberta Hogue King Barton, 81, Coalgate, are 1 p.m. Wednesday at Atoka Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Jim Horath officiating. Burial follows at Lehigh Cemetery.
Mrs. Barton died Oct. 5, 2008, at Eufaula. She was born May 8, 1927, at Tupelo to John J. and Stella Viola Mooney Hogue.
She was a housewife and member of Olney First Baptist Church.
Her first husband, Orville King, died Nov. 30, 1985. Her second husband, Bud Clyde Barton died Dec. 2, 2001.
Survivors include four sons, Wayne King and wife Sue, Olney, Jessie King and wife Hazel, Lewisville, Texas, Willie King and wife Donna, Lula, and Kenny King, Centrahoma; four daughters, Stella Sherwood, Eufaula, Velma Coats and husband Roy, Holdenville, Melba Reeves, Ada, and Wanda Benton and husband Ken, Nowata; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 10 stepgrandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Evie Sebastion, Meeker, and Flora Mae Batchler, Pateluma, Calif.; a stepson, Jerry Barton, Muskogee; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John J. and Stella V. Hogue; first husband, Orville King; second husband, Bud Clyde Barton; brothers, Jack Hogue, Reuban Hogue, J.B. Hogue and Freeland Hogue; sisters, Mary Winnie Hules, Leona Hare, and Velma Ruth Hogue; three stepsons, Jimmy Barton, James Barton and Donald Barton; and a stepdaughter, Janette Barton.
Bearers are Ricky King, Pat Sherwood, Roger King, Dustin Gwinn, Johnathan King and Jodie Nicholes.
Honorary bearers are Jimmy King, Julian King, Fredrick King, Chris Lee Derrick, Timothy Jennings and Justin King.

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa — Services for Zeb Coleman Colbert Jr., 59 Marshalltown, Iowa, formerly of Ada, are 2 p.m. Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Charlie Carter will officiate. Burial will follow at Hickory Hill Cemetery, south of Ada. Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery. A Wake service will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Colbert died Monday, Sept. 29, 2008, in the Iowa River at Marshalltown, Iowa. He was born June 1, 1949, at Talihina, Okla., to Zeb Colbert Sr., and Hazel Parr Colbert.
He graduated from Ada High School and received an associate degree from Haskell Indian Junior College in Lawrence, Kan. He lived in this area most of his life and had moved to Marshalltown several years ago. Mr. Colbert was a carpenter and as a youth he was an altar boy with the Episcopal church near Richmond, Va.
He was a combat veteran and served in the U.S. Army from May 6, 1968, to May 5, 1974. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal for serving recon missions on the Ho Chi Minh Trail.
Survivors include three brothers, Larry Wayne Colbert, Berkley, Calif., Larry Keith Colbert and wife Mary, Fittstown, Okla., and Gary Colbert, Ada, Okla.; and nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bearers will be Doug Worcester, Bob Fox, Gary Fox, Roy Worcester, Weldon Fulsom and Buzz Brown.
