BETTY TURNER
ADA — Services for Betty Jean Turner, 67, Ada, are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Delbert Akin will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Turner died Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, at a local hospital. She was born Oct. 6, 1941, at Ada to Buster “Buzz” and Bernice Freeman Morrison.
She attended Latta schools. Mrs. Turner was a homemaker and a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church.
She married Robert Turner Oct. 23, 1958, in Ada.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Turner, of the home; two sons, Steve Turner and his wife Penny, and Robert Turner Jr., and his wife Dianna, all of Ada; two daughters, Cindy Lindsey and her husband Paul, Broken Arrow, and Wendy Williams, Russell, Kan.; five grandsons, Robert Rivers, Broken Arrow, Matthew and Timothy Turner, both of Ada, and J.R. Williams and Devon Axelson, both of Russell, Kan.; two granddaughters, Jennifer Morales, Broken Arrow, and Nacole Turner, Ada; and one great-granddaughter, Madelyn Elizabeth Morales, Broken Arrow.
Bearers will be Don Smith, Don Kerr, and four grandsons, Robert Rivers, Matthew Turner, Timothy Turner and J.R. Williams.

ADA — Services for Jack Vincent Messbarger, infant son of Vince and Stacia Wiggins Messbarger, were 2:30 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at Rosedale Cemetery.
"Little Jack" was born and died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008, at a local hospital.
Survivors include his parents, Vince and Stacia Messbarger, of the home; grandparents, Mike and Suzane Wiggins, Georgia; and Jack and Diane Messbarger, Georgetown, Texas; three sisters, Christina Kristynik and her husband David, Temple, Texas; Jessica Halford and her husband Scott, Camp LeJeune, N.C.; and Jessica Reed, Ada; and two brothers, Lowell Messbarger, Watertown, N.Y.; and Patrick Reed, Ada.

ADA — Services for Nora Leona Simmons, 59, Ada, are 2 p.m. Monday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Teresa Ray will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Simmons died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008, at her home. She was born March 4, 1949, at Allen to C.C. and Mary Lou Knighten Manuel.
She attended Allen and Byng schools. Mrs. Simmons was a homemaker and affiliated with the Pentecostal Holiness Church.
She married Ray Simmons Sept. 16, 1966, at Poplar, Calif.
Survivors include her husband, Ray Simmons, of the home; a daughter, Teresa Key, Ada; her parents, C.C. and Mary Lou Manuel, Ada; four grandchildren, Timothy Brian Williams, Ada, Christopher Daniel Williams, Allen, Teresa Denise Williams, Ada, and Elizabeth Raylene Williams, Ada; and a great-grandson, Ryan Brendon Dill, Ada.
Bearers will be Chris Williams, Tim Williams, Joe Odom, Robbie Odom, Chase Lancaster and Paul Sweeney. Honorary bearers are Mike Odom and Marty Odom.

RUSS SCHUH
ADA — Services for Russell Richard “Russ” Schuh, 48, Ada, are 2 p.m. Monday at Union Hill Baptist Church, the Revs. James Stuart and Steve Gardner will officiate and Bruce Dansby will assist. Burial will follow at Maxwell Cemetery.
Mr. Schuh died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008, at his home. He was born Jan. 25, 1960, at Devils Lake, N.D., to Richard Matthew and Carol Eozerme Carson Schuh.
He attended North Dakota schools. He moved to this area in 1987 from North Dakota.
He worked for Apex, and worked as a roofer, a carpenter, a furniture refurbisher and a freehand artist. Mr. Schuh was a member of the Union Hill Baptist Church.
Mr. Schuh married Tina Marie Barney Sept. 8, 2000, in Ada.
Survivors include his wife, Tina Schuh, of the home; two sisters, Cheryl, Colorado; Shelly, North Dakota; a brother, John, North Dakota; a daughter, Anna Rose Marguaret, Plymouth, Wis.; two sons, Matthew Russell Schuh and wife Frankie, Keota, and Richard Shelby Schuh, Keota; two step-daughters, Jayme Hollie and husband, Joe, Haileyville, and Kristin Stutterfield, McAlester; four grandchildren, Lillian Grace Hollis and Emerson Jo Hollis, both of Haileyville, and Mattie Lean Schuh and Harley Drake Schuh, both of Keota; a brother-in-law, Johnny Barney Jr., Shawnee; father and mother-in-law, Johnny Lee and Christine Barney; and several nephews and nieces.
Bearers will be Ron Kimmel, Joe Hollis, Shawn Buicham, Bruce Dansby, Jacob Barney and Timothy Glase. Honorary bearers are Johnny Barny III, Jerry Giles and Jay Wyatt.

OKLAHOMA CITY - Graveside services for James Farmer Franklin, 98, Oklahoma City, formerly of the Coalgate area, are 11 a.m. Monday at the Pavilion at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mr. Franklin died Monday, Oct. 6, 2008, at an Oklahoma City hospital.
