STONEWALL— Graveside services for Ruby M. Brewer, 82, Stonewall are 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, at Rosedale Cemetery. Ms. Brewer died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009 at a Stonewall nursing home.

FRANK OWENS

ADA — Services for Frank Owens, 83, Ada, are 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Steve Cordell officiating. Burial follows at Byrd’s Prairie Cemetery at Tupelo.

Mr. Owens died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009, at his home. He was born June 29, 1926, near Jesse, Okla., to John and Bina Underwood Owens.

He lived in this area all his life and attended school at Owl Creek.

Mr. Owens was a heavy equipment operator for Stallings Construction until his retirement. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He married Melba Bray on July 29, 1951. She died March 25, 2002, at Atoka.

Survivors include three daughters, Cletha Williams, Wewoka, Mary Mattison, Paris, Texas, and Phyllis Pritchett, Burlington, N.C,; a stepson, Jerry Brakebill, Ada; a brother, Benny Owens, Tupelo; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a son, Timmy Owens.

Bearers will be his grandsons, Paul Sharp, David Stafford, Adam Stafford, Timmy Owens, and Jamie Owens and his nephew, Jimmy Owens.

ADA— Services for Kevin Lee Jones, 38, Ada, are 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Ryan Humble officiating. Burial follows at Rosedale Cemetery.

Mr. Jones died Monday, Oct. 19, 2009, in Ada. He was born March 11, 1971, at Ada to Benny Eldon and Joyce Annette Lee Jones.

He graduated from college in San Francisco, California.

Mr. Jones was the director of Regulatory Operations and Medical Writing in San Francisco until his illness in 2005. He returned to Ada in March 2009. He was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Ada.

Survivors include his mother, Annette Lee, of the home; his father, Benny Jones and his wife, Janet, Ada; brothers, Kenny Jones and wife Hope, Sachse, Texas, Brannon Patzer Jones and wife Mieka, Mulberry, Fla., and Chris Arthur and wife Nicole, Ada; his sisters, Kari Delaporta and husband Jeff, Moulton, Ala., Brenna Woodward and husband Jeremy, Ada, and Crystal Shaw and husband Kevin, Ada; grandmother, Lavona Jones, Ada; his nephew and niece, Jason Jones and Sydney Ann Jones, Sachse, Texas; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Granny Evelyn Lee, and Bud Jones.

Bearers will be Glen Jones, Steve Newby, Cody Hayes, Johnny Lee, Clint Resler, Jared Resler and Jonathan Jones.
