VAUDA VAN GOLSON
MUSKOGEE — Services for Vauda Van Golson, 88, are 11;30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, at Muskogee Church of Christ. Burial follows at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Okla.
Ms. Golson died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009. She was born in 1921 to Hal and Eula Hall in Oustee, Okla.
She graduated as a registered nurse in Wichita Falls, Texas. While serving as a nurse at Talley-Walker Hospital in Marlow, Okla., she met her future husband, T.J. Golson. They lived in Velma where she was a Stephens County Health Nurse. The family relocated many times due to Mr. Golson’s job with Getty Oil, including Cunningham, Kan., Cushing, Okla. and Eldorado, Kan. After retirement, she lived in Tuscon, Ariz., Muskogee, Okla. and Ada. She was an active member of the Muskogee Church of Christ.
Ms. Golson was preceded in death by her parents, Hal and Eula Hall; three sisters, Betty Grider, Lena Drum and Beula Mae Hall; and brother Clyde Hall.
Survivors include Raymond Hall, Clark Hall and wife Vivian, Roy Hall and wife Nina, Ellen Hankins, Helen Brinkman, and Kenneth Hall and wife Nelda; daughters Vauda Cowan and husband Mickey of Ada, and Janice Watson and husband John of Muskogee; grandchildren B.J. Cowan and wife Stephanie of Norman, Becky Schiller and husband Chris of Muskogee, Barry Watson and wife Kelly of Muskogee, Chelsi Wallingford and husband Jim of Santa Monica, Calif.; great-grandchildren Katie Cowan, Jackson Cowan, Tori Cowan, Watson Schiller, Cash Schiller, Caroline Watson and Lily Watson; and a host of special nieces and nephews.

THELMA LAMB
ADA — Services for Thelma Marie Lamb, 78, Ada, are 10 a.m. Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Ken Brady will officiate. Burial will follow at Allen Cemetery.
Mrs. Lamb died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at her son’s home in Shawnee. She was born July 9, 1931 at Steedman, Okla., to Walter and Sally Coffman Horn.
She lived in the Ada and Allen area most of her life, graduating from Steedman High School.
She married James Lamb in 1949. He died in 1960.
Mrs. Lamb worked in retail sales and with the Asher Public Schools as a school cafeteria worker for 15 years and later retired as a food service employee. She was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Janice Glover, Anchorage, Alaska; three sons, Larry Lamb, Asher, Dennis Lamb and Danny Lamb, both of Shawnee; 22 grandchildren; and a large number of great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, James and Ronnie and a daughter, Sandra Spears.
Bearers will be her grandsons, Chad Lamb, Keith Lamb, Shawn Lamb, Dalton Lamb, Danny Ray Lamb, and Dillon Lamb.
