“If an $8-11 million convention center can be built on the East Central University campus for only a $500 thousand investment by the city of Ada, to me that is a no brainer. The city would benefit from the materials purchased locally, from the construction jobs created, from visitors to the convention center once it is completed. On the other hand, if East Central can come up with that kind of money, I personally would prefer to see a new football stadium built to replace by far the worst stadium in the Lone Star Conference and the only real eyesore on East Central campus, Norris Field.”
“I have been reading your editorials a lot, and the rest of your paper of course. Bobby Winters is a minister. Right. Some kind of a denominational preacher, right. Okay, I get it. Thank you.”
“Life is like a sentence. It has a beginning and an end. It is what is in between that we get its meaning.”
