Sounding Board, June 1, 2008

“Mr. Thomsen is correct in his description in the new scholarship bill. It did not take money from our schools in our area. However the bill he voted for the previous year for the charter school in Tulsa did take money from that which was available for the rest of the schools in Oklahoma.”

“There needs to be a law passed about allowing dogs to run loose in the community that is a city or a rural area. A $1,000 fine should be imposed on breeds of a vicious nature be it pit bulls, labs, rotweillers or any other vicious dog by nature. This is not right to let these kinds of animals run loose on the public. The second time, the fine should be a $3,000 fine. The third time, the dog should be removed from the owners for good.”

“First of all, I would like to say I am the type of person who is always willing to commend good, even great, customer service. But during my recent visit to a local photo lab, which was last Saturday afternoon, I felt the customer service was terrible. There were three employees working in the lab and I felt they were rude, hateful and belittling to me as a customer. I just feel something needs to be done about it.”
