Letter to the Editor for August 24, 2008

Dear Editor,

On behalf of the board of directors of the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce, we commend Ada’s west side residents for the action they are taking to improve their neighborhood. We applaud their efforts and challenge all Ada residents to exhibit the same degree of pride and cooperation in every neighborhood.

One goal of the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce is to improve the economic life and the quality of life in our community. We encourage our west side neighbors to stay the course and know that we stand with you. You are an example to us all and we appreciate the positive, proactive steps being taken to reclaim the integrity of one of our original neighborhoods.

We also want to thank the city of Ada officials who recognize the sincerity of these residents and have pledged to assist them. The work of these few residents will benefit our entire community. This community spirit is what makes Ada such a great place to live.
